I believe in the Beer Fairy
Bump for a good group of guys running one of the most bad azz roads in the Southeast.
.....heck, if I'm open that weekend, I'd be tempted to take the caddy over there!

Looks like there may be some interest from a few members of our club.
I know it's still a ways out, but do you have a planned time frame? We would probably be driving down that Saturday morning.

update: we will be arriving on Friday night (7/29) and staying at the Comfort Suites in Alcoa, Tn.
The plan is to spend the whole day Saturday (7/30) around the dragon.
You guys wanting to meet us send me a message and I'll give you my cell number so we can meet up. This is going to be fun!

ok, we have a plan and looks like a growing group of interest in joining us. Everyone that is interested in joining should be at the WalMart parking lot between 9:30 and 10am Saturday morning July 30th.
Walmart Supercenter
2410 Us Highway 411 S
Maryville, TN 37801
We plan to pull out from here at 10am
FastMover will be leading our group to what looks to be an all day fun cruise running over 150 miles
Here is the plan Jim has put together:
Leave Walmart and travel to the TOD (Tall of the Dragon) about 20 min ride to the west end, run the Dragon . Depending on traffic conditions and what your group wants to do,
You can run it again a 26 mile round trip or continue on to the next part. (depends on the traffic)
From the east end of TOD we will take Hwy 28 ( the Hellbender 28) 22 miles of
Very cool and scenic mountain roads, past Fontana Dam to the town of Robbinsville, NC.
This is a good place for a pitstop, there is a Wendys and MacDonald’s as well as gas stations. For the next part we leave Robbinsville and head to the Cherohala Skyway
One of the southeast’s coolest and most scenic, not to mention great twisties, roads. There are many scenic overlooks and several restrooms along the way. It is about 50 miles across mountain the tops as high as 6000 ft to the town of Tellico Plains and the end of our Adventure.
From here you take Hwy 68 north to Hwy 411n to Hwy 129n back to Alcoa.
