Lamar Walden inducted to the East Coast Drag Racing Hall of Fame
I have to take a minute to congratulate and honor Lamar Walden, owner of Lamar Walden Automotive, for an amazing accomplishment and blessed weekend.
Not only did Lamar get inducted to the Drag Racing Hall of Fame this past wkd but he also recieved his VERY RARE #40 2012 Chevy Camaro COPO car. This particular COPO is powered by the NA 427 which is 1 of 6 that are being built out of the 69 total.
Some of you may recall Lamar was the proud owner/racer of a 69' Camaro COPO car many years ago. To this day that car is still in mint condition under the ownership of another Hall of Famer, "Mr. October" Reggie Jackson. The COPO Reggie still has is 1 of 5 or 6 that still has the original engine.
The Walden family is an amazing group and I'm honored to call them more than just friends as I consider them as part of my own family.
