I am planning a trip. My first stop is the NCM then on to Tennessee to do the Tail of the Dragon. I am going to be staying in Sevierville, TN on Winfred Dunn Parkway. What is the best route to get to the Dragon, any info would be appreciated...

go to redlight no 3 turn onto wears valley road, that will take you to townsend, turn right go thru town go a few miles to the foothills parkway, turn left follow parkway to the right follow to end. turn left follow along lake you will cross a small bridge and the speed limit will drop that's the start of the dragon.

If I were you...I'd go straight to Robbinsville, so that you aren't going through the dragon to get to the dragon. Then go up the mountain towards Deals Gap and regroup there, before actually hitting all 318 curves. I wouldn't want you to be on the dragon, not realize what is going on until you hit curve 30, and you're like.....this is awfully tiring...
