Tim, pencil yourself in for shotgun with me durring one or two of my runs, I'm thinking sessions "L" and "Q" would work best for ya, or of course we can also just wing it on the fly as the day unfolds, like usuall.
I'll pencil myself in for a picture by the highway sign at the end of the day. And a huge premptive thanks for taking on the photography duties every year. Beers are on me all weekend!

Tim yes absolutely!!! on the photo!
I had a very nice conversation with Mark. He was very understanding and what we worked out was that I will send him our list of 13 again and he is going to schedule a run at 3:15pm for "W" whisky company. This will be a session run after all the others has been completed. Anybody who wants to run together this will be the group to be part of. It will cost $75 as it is still an extra session but most of us were planning on buying one more session late in the afternoon anyways after all the other runs have been completed. Mark also found your extra run Tim. If you haven't been contacted already....You are in B and F. He also mentioned that there was a cancellation and was able to change someone else to also be in the B group. I just forgot who. If you have been contacted just let me know otherwise I am just waiting for him to email or call me back. My thoughts were spot on, the pre-registration is really what complicated this a lot. He apologized dearly and said that all of us are the main reason this happens each year and he is doing his utmost best to make everybody happy. I concur with him and appreciate all of it.

Thanks Jeff I appreciate you getting this straightened out. I knew I bought 2 sessions just didn't have anything to prove it. I haven't been contacted as of 21:45 tonight just to let you know. So the "W" session will be of our group only correct? If so you can count me in for that one..

I received an email about the car show at Hoover this afternoon. For all that will be leaving the Hampton Saturday we will need to be rolling at noon or slightly before. They said they would start parking cars at 1pm but also said to come early. For all the cars that can't fit Hoovers area where we will be they are going to park the overflow across the highway from the dealership. I'm bringing my LSU pop up for us to get out of the sun so bring your chairs...

Just another update....getting close now!!!
Ok we are down to the wire now! Just 2 days to go!
Some helpful tips/reminders...
• Check all your fluids (especially the brake and clutch fluid). If need be because they look dark, suck out the brake and clutch fluid and replace with fresh stuff. For the brake fluid, don't suck it all out. Leave some in the master cylinder...Don't want to get any air in the lines! Refill/top off with the approved fluid of your choice. I use DOT 4 in my 2002.
• Pack yourself some essential tools including a mini air compressor, tire repair kit, small portable jack, and of course a lug nut wrench or wratchet with the correct socket.
• Bring a chair
• If you're doing the car show on friday...being plenty of microfibers and car cleaning/detailing stuff.
• Don't forget your camera
• When recording multiple sessions, I would recommend doing one session with the roof on, the windows up and the radio off. This will provide you the best possible audio recording.
• If running only one camera, change the location from session to session! Run it outside (if you have a mount that can handle that such as an official Go Pro Mount 150+mph). Run another session with it inside the car (possibly up close to the front windshield). Then run another session behind you so you can see you, your dash & your gauges and out the windshield. It's quite cool when you see yourself driving and shifting as well as watching your speed.
Don't forgot about the MEET & EAT!!! We'll all be getting together either on friday night or saturday after the event depending on what everybody chooses friday. Personally I would rather do this friday night, as what usually happens is that people are tired from the heat on saturday and just end up wanting to go home right after their last run is over. But hey it don't matter to me...whatever you guys want to do is good with me!
I'll be bringing custom made 13"x19" Vettes4Vets/www.corvetteforum.com posters for everybody. See me to get one if I don't find you first! Get everybody to sign it, frame it and hang it in your garage or man cave!
Weather wise...BIG KNOCK ON WOOD HERE! I DON'T WANNA JYNX IT!
It's looking like another spectacular year.
Sunny & 86 on Friday. Party sunny & 85 on Saturday. NICE!!!!!

Another one in the books...
Hope everyone had a great time and awesome memorial weekend! Remember all those fallen solders.
Talladega was as always great this year! Hats off to Mark Davis and all the volunteers for putting on this event!
There were some hiccups and things that can be improved upon for next year. Feel free to PM me any suggestions. I will pass them along with my own to Mark and his V4V team. I know we were promised the "W" Whisky session which didn't happen. If you were not able to run in another session and missed out completely, let me know via PM. You will get a refund for that session. Mark has apologized to us all, as he had to leave early and things got a bit chaotic with the sessions towards the end of the event. Rest assured we will learn from all of this and next year will be better then ever. I already have quite a few suggestions and ideas myself
On a lighter note: that Meet and Eat over at the buffet place was great! Thanks to our camera man and friend Tim Legros for finding that place!
The Hendrick Chevrolet gathering I felt was lacking and took way too long for them to setup. Music, food and an earlier start time I think would of been better. We'll work on that for next year.
