Palmetto, FL good/bad???
We are looking at a house in Palmetto that we really like. Built in 2004, block & stucco, 1,700 sq. ft., 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage, solar heated salt water pool with waterfall, small lake behind backyard, not in a flood zone, tile throughout, new HVAC & water heater, roof is 7 years old, taxes $2,830. Asking price is $280,000, realtor says they will take $270,000
When we were driving around the area everything seems to be over the bridge in Bradenton or Sarasota but its only a 5-10 minute drive.
Anyone live in or near Palmetto? Good? Bad?
Thanks

Palmetto is a good area. You're just right over the Skyway bridge from St. Pete where there's a lot more going on and things to do than down in Bradenton.

We live up the road from Palmetto in Parrish. For the most part it is a nice little town close to Bradenton, Sarasota and close to St Petersburg. Crossing the Green Bridge to Bradenton (business 41) is a pain in the during the morning rush, the rest of the day is okay. Good luck!
