If you're a pilot, you might like Spruce Creek Fly-In, about 10 miles south of the Daytona Int'l Speedway.

It's great to taxi to your hangar right behind your house.

And if your hangar is big enough, you can keep your RV, car trailer, cars, lift, etc. in your hangar right behind your house!

After looking at a lot of Florida we decided to build and retire in Fernandina Beach. The house is built and settled and we move down in 6 months for good.

Excellent!!! We go up every so often to visit friends right there in Amelia Island - beautiful area!!

You're only 2 hours from Daytona, so you can come on down for some of the HPDE track events, and come down to watch the Rolex 24 race, or NASCAR races if you're into that!

Give me a holler when you come down for a track event!!

Although we live 300 miles to the west I use a travel agency consultant on your Amelia Island. I highly recommend Debbie Kellogg at 904-261-5914 for the more complex travels to Europe and Asia. She's a Virtuoso Consultant recommended to me by a local neighbor of mine.

She suggested I attend the Amelia Island Councours d'Elegance held in March at the Ritz-Carlton. Lot's of high-end cars like this bad boy...Duesenberg. Note the Mill Yellow over Torch Red before it was Mill Yellow over Torch Red & the factory side exhaust. Wild One.

And just down the road from you is Jacksonville (Jax) . We take a cruise from there to the Bahamas every year. Already made reservations for next Jan. Caution: avoid spring break if you go unless you're a spring breaker.

Nassau - A good excursion is Atlantis by bus or boat.

Half Moon Cay has been awesome X9.

Hey Joe, It's been a while. Glad to hear your coming down to FLA. Will you be snowbirding or are you moving down full time?
Let me know when you're settled in. Maybe we can meet up. I'm about 90 minutes from Kissimmee.
Good luck with the move .

We are relocating from Connecticut to Port St Lucie at the end pf the month. Wife is retired and I am semi-retired. Any Corvette related activities happening? I will probably attend the next Cars and Coffee meeting in West Palm.

I moved here during the Atlanta ice storm 2014, which made that move a lifetime memory.
Citrus cty where I live is one of the poorest & rural, but it's cheap to live here. Tampa, Orlando, Daytona are all a 1.5/ 2 hour drive, I bought a fannie mae for 44k 1200 sq ft.. now up to $82k. Can't complain really.
