The Sessions and Running order for the corvetteforum group has been submitted by me over to Mark Davis today. I will keep everybody updated as things progress and I will be updating the 2nd Group as needed.

Had a nice chat with Mark Davis. He has told me that all of our concerns have been spoken to the board and 1 by 1 they have been addressed or are being addressed the best they can be.
1.) Running the Corvetteforum Group: Everybody who has been listed in the primary corvetteforum group is guaranteed to be running in that group.
2.) The Track Cleanliness: It is being researched by Hendrick and Talladega Crew. Efforts to have it cleaned prior to our visit are underway. Nascar will be there 4/28/2018 - 4/30/2018, so this means that they will have a month to get it cleaned after Nascar's use or if any other events are taking place.
3.) The PA/Announcer system: This year WILL BE much better and louder with additional speakers in use.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE MARK HAS INDICATED THERE ARE STILL ABOUT 300 SLOTS LEFT TO FILL!!!! SO PLEASE PASS IT ALONG AND SHARE THIS WITH ALL YOUR BUDDIES. A GREAT EVENT FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
HOTEL INFORMATION:
There are 2 options depending on where you want to be. You can be closer to Hendrick Chevrolet in Hoover, AL (About 1 hour from the track) for the friday night carshow & banquet or you can be closer to Talladega. Many are choosing to be closer to Talladega; we are all staying at the Hampton Inn in Pell City (About 25 mins from the track). Anyone who wishes to change or hasn't booked their hotel yet, here is the information:

2ND ANNUAL MEET AND EAT!!
For those staying in Pell City at or close by the Hampton Inn, we will again be going to the City Market Grill & Buffet right across the street from the Hampton in for dinner on friday night. For new people, I know your probably thinking...oh o..."buffet", but I kid you not the place is top notch. The price is very reasonable and they have a huge selection of great food. They had crablegs, sirloin steak, chicken and a ton of other great food when we went last year. We had about 25-30 of us and Tim called ahead and they sat us all together in one giant room. Should be a great time again this year. Hope you can join in. Time is around 5-6 just be down in the lobby or just outside of where we all meet to go over. Jeff, thanks for doing all the legwork.
Once Mark took a over and brought Hendrick onboard I didnt think there much left to improve on, but if there is it would be cleaning up the backstretch. This will be my 4th new Vette taken to Talladega and it's a sick feeling hearing that sandblasting sound on the front end of the car coming into turn 3. The Vette I brought last year was pelted bad and I know Tims car got blasted too, probably everyone's did. It would be awesome if they could get that crap swept off. Oh, and tell Mark that our group won't be needing pace trucks this year......... (grin)

3 months will pass pretty fast! Took all my drag stuff off the car and putting the street stuff back on. Have a few new additions that will be added to it so looking forward to another great Talladega show!
This year I'm going to sit out the car show part of the weekend and take in the Museum at the speedway instead. Hadn't been in a couple of years and I'm sure there is some new additions added. Still going to do the dinner with everyone but will be drinking adult beverages and chilling till everyone gets back from the show.
I agree with you Mike on the track. This year I will not be following anyone close and will be in a different lane then what the car ahead of me will be in. My nose took a beating last year so I want my freshly painted nose to last a little longer this time.
Make that 4 of us on the car show. Can use that gas on the track.
Yeah cool...sounds great! We'll have to all coordinate with Tim on what time and Caravan over together...possibly get some nice cruising photos like we did last year ...(which by the way if anybody can post a couple or email me some of mine...I would be greatful...I can't find them!).

I have made it clear to Mark that we would like to run together whenever it is possible throughout the day. With the complexity of the cars running different amounts of sessions and spacing everybody out throughout the day he said he would "do his best but honestly can't promise anything after the first confirmed run session". He highlighted he knows we are a tight group and he will do everything possible to keep us together as much as he can throughout the day.

We will try and put everything together after we have our afternoon drinks on Thursday... I'm all in for the rolling shots and Charles and I talked about it when they stopped in DeRidder at the end of last year. Hoping to get some done on Friday and the rest Saturday morning. The morning light to me gives the shots more depth so hopefully we can get that done.
