Default Insurance question for S. Florida members

So I pulled the trigger on the Z. I am a little shocked that the insurance is $400 more then my 2014 911 Turbo.
Total quote was $1388 6 months
250/500 bod inj/uninsured
Comp 100 ded
Collision 500 ded

I usually have 1mm/1mm but progressive doesn't offer. So i would have to get an umbrella policy.

I tried several others and all higher
State Farm
USAA
Allstate

To compare apples to apples. Could other members that live in South Florida advise on what they're paying for a six month policy.

Thanks.

I am in SW Fla, my 2018 Z06 for some reason went up quite a bit over my 16 and 17 Z06? I pay about the same with 2 other vehicles on my policy.

I'm also with Travelers, When I had my 16 and 17 that is about what I paid, then I went without a Vette for a few months get a 18 and the price goes way up? I don't get it? Calling again to see what's up.

The biggest part of this bullshit. I sold the 911 on Oct 22 2017 and bought the Z yesterday. They said since i had a lapse of coverage, I wouldn't be getting the accident free discount and claims free discount. I said to them so if I did have an accident you definitely will be charging me extra for this insurance, but since I did not you consider it lapse in coverage. Even though I did not own a vehicle to cover. Absolutely disgusting.

I think it depends on county as well. I'm over in Hillsborough and if I was 15 mins further south into Manatee its almost 1/2 the price. I have a '18 GS and pay $1062/6mo for 1k/1k deductables, and 100/300/50 body injury/prop damage with USAA. I'm 31 and have a total loss back in 2010.

Good news. I call travelers and spoke with amazing insurance agent. Because I'm a pen fed client they work directly with them my total quote for six months was $1024. That's with 250/500 liability limits. I added another $80 for 120% loss coverage. Also added a blanket policy for $275 for 1mm for liability and uninsured. So 1375 for 1.25mm coverage. I'm happy. Progressive was 1700. Geico was 2700.

Allstate, about $1200 a yr for a Z. It is a second car for me but still that's damn good. I had a 15 Z51, moved up to a 17 Z, the women goes, "well your insurance will go up $43 a year." Me thinking F yeah is that all, hot damn. I do have a spotless record with no one in my house other then my wife so that makes a BIG difference.
