Last time I ordered a plate, it was 4 weeks, I guess they have back-log cause of the holiday's.

it varies...they tell you 90 days so you aren't bugging them....probably 4 weeks

I ordered mine on Dec 21st, and was told 60 days. Like everyone else said it's probably just a blanket statement, I'll post up when it arrives.

With all the specialty plate designs that Florida offers, I wish they would offer a simple black plate with white lettering option. Maybe one with a ghost Florida state outline. I think that would look great especially for the C7s with the Carbon Flash lower rear fascia.

I see them in other states when I travel on business and I really like the look.

As to the timeline, my last FL personalized plate only took about 4 weeks.

There was an article and a you tube video that shows a bill is being introduced into the FL senate to offer a Corvette license plate. If that does come available with the option of also being a vanity then I'm all over that!

I would swing by the tag place and ask. Mine took 8 weeks to get for the car and the bike was 12 weeks

Is there a way to order a personalized plate prior to taking delivery of the car? For example, if your order a new a Corvette, once you get a VIN can a you get a jumpstart on a personalized plate request while you wait for the car to be delivered?

Yes, the dealer should have a form. If not go to any tag agency and ask for one. Keep in mind, depending on how long it takes to deliver your vehicle, you may get the car before you get the personalized license plate. In that case they will issue a regular plate until the personalized one arrives.
