NCRS Regional Lakeland
I'll be there with some friends from Orlando. I'll be looking checking the vendors for my 65 convertible. Hope to meet some forum members as well.

Planning to be there at least a couple of days. If the weather is nice I'll bring the car, otherwise, I'll drive my pickup as I've done in previous years.
I'll be wearing jeans and a T-shirt (no ball cap), so you won't confuse me with maverickmk
And I agree with Flame Red. The food leaves a LOT to be desired so I usually bring a cooler with sandwiches and drinks. A lot tastier, healthier, and cheaper than what they have available there.

Nice meet so far but very isolated place, unlike other regionals I have attended.

I have no idea what that means, putting a "Corvette Forum" sign on your car......

Since no one has suggested otherwise, I'd say we meet at the entrance to the judging hanger at 10 and at 1.
Mark is only about 3 spaces away from it, so if you see a group there, stop. He had his '63 coupe there last year. No idea what he has this year.
Too far to walk to the MiG to meet, but if you see this car, then you know I am there.

I'll be there today, with Binky! Stop us and say hello if you see us!
Great event, as usual. Hate to whine, but why this year do they charge vettes $5 to park? They never did before. Same lousy food, so we passed. Nice that they let us use the permanent rest rooms outside the hangers instead of that mobile restroom they trucked in prior years. Some vendors were packing up by 12 as I guess it was getting colder? Saw Jersey from Apsis there and he has his usual nice, high priced stuff, but I managed escaping without buying anything for one!

I had a great time, saw 65hihp, Procrastication Racing, OhioVet (who has been put in permanent “time out”), as well as Tampa Jerry.
My son picked up a TransAm sign and I got a neon clock and some parts from my man, Brian at Bair’s. As far as food, I purchased a luke-warm cup o’joe for $2 but we brought a cooler with sammiches and energy drinks. Damn, it was cold - glad I wore shorts
$5 for parking is short money, and everyone was really friendly.
We had fun and may go again in Feb.
For the record, we wore sweatshirts and hats and left the top down (heater blasting) on our one hour ride each way. 53F and windy is brutal down here!

I would have sworn Matt was from North Dakota dressed as he was in shorts. It started off chilly and got colder. We also ran into 65hihp, OhioVet (Bruce) and Charlie, a friend of Bruce.
I was good to meet several there. I was over helping George Haddad of Fabulous Restorations and lost track of the time, missing the 1 o'clock meeting.
I got there later than expected. That didn't help.
It was cold, so many didn't come or were packing up early.
The crowd of street rods and street machines was good.
I didn't take nearly as many pictures as usual.
Here they are:
The guy with the yellow '70 had an L88 hood. We were talking as we got there at the same time, and I've never been in one with that hood, and asked if I could sit to get an idea of the view.
Of course, that made me wish I had gotten one of those hoods years ago. I always wanted to, but other things usually came up.
I can't remember his name. I think it was Steve. His car was yellow, but it didn't have the usual black interior. It had a dark green interior.

The judging hanger didn't really have that many. there were spread further apart and looked crowded, but were fewer cars than last year easily.
This year one of the Bill Mitchell styling cars was here.
Notice all the differences?
And of course, those famed six taillights. Those went on everything except production cars. The accountants must have exercised a tremendous amount of power over Corvette.

This is a Corvette Super Sport.
Surprisingly, this was the only red '63 split window I saw. I thought for awhile they were the only ones that existed, based on the number that would show up.

This one is special. It belongs to a guy named Paul. While getting it ready for this event, he suffered a heart attack a couple of days after Christmas. As such, several guys got together and brought it for him. Chuck Gongloff was one of them, and was telling me the story.
Chuck and I caught up on several things. So far last year, we just missed crossing paths at all the shows. At the Corvette show in Crystal River last year, everyone knew Chuck but no one knew where he was.

Sad Turn out - and even sadder that fewer Vendors and people are showing up to these type of Venues ...I believe that The NCRS is in the twilight of its years here in South Florida ... just my .02
I sold my 67 L79 (# Coupe) to a forum member ,I miss it, but i bought a 2018 , still love the Corvettes, that I'm afraid will never leave my soul

Then it moved to Kissimmee which still had good turnout at the Hotel, hosting, and then Old Town, little less venders, but still lot of fun.
Now it's present locations, I think it lost it's flavor, has for me little far to travel, wish it would come back to Kissimmee.

Some Pics
Turnout wasn’t spectacular, but I’ve been to Carlisle for Corvette-specific shows, and there’s no comparing that. I’m not an NCRS guy, but it was interesting to see judges crawling all over peoples’ cars with dental mirrors and judging manuals...
Now for some pics:
In fact, we got there a little early...
Apparently taking pictures into the sun makes people squint...
(Left to Right: Procrastination Racing, me, Colin)
This car was amazing and I would love to hear it going around a track:
I love this car. All business, function over form (down to the perfect powder coated frame):
Note the custom fuel line insulation:
Statement on the bumper says it all:
Saw this specimen in the parking lot (driven by a handsome fella):
There were some pretty bad *** rat rods too:
I don’t care for straight axle cars (I know, I know), but this was fantastic:
Just a mean looking car!
Every Corvette show has to have a 427 car with a red stinger:
Hope to meet more folks in Feb and thanks for looking!
