Anyone in the Southeast area going to do the Hot Rod Power Tour 2018?
Schedule:
Saturday, June 9: Bowling Green, KY @ Beech Bend Raceway Park
Sunday, June 10: Chattanooga, TN — Location pending
Monday, June 11: Birmingham, AL @ Hoover metropolitan Stadium
Tuesday, June 12: Hampton, GA @ Atlanta Motor Speedway
Wednesday, June 13: Darlington, SC @ Darlington Raceway
Thursday, June 14: Raleigh, NC — Location pending
Friday, June 15: Concord, NC @ zMax Dragway (Charlotte Motor Speedway)
I've always wanted to "Long Haul" it and because I live in Columbia SC this might be my best chance to do that. If I don't Long Haul I will at least do the last 3 days.

Thank you. Looks like it will pass near Atlanta and stop at Atlanta Speedway.
Will definitely make this one.

My plan is to try to do the Long Haul, but if that is not possible I will hook up with the tour on Interstate 20 as they pass thru Columbia SC on the way to Darlington SC and do the last 3 days.

YEP-
My wife and I are doing it again this year. It's actually our anniversary- as we got married on the HRPT stage in Louisiana '16!!!
Did the longhaul 14-15-16...most of the haul 17. We'll be doing the longhaul again this year. Going up Friday from Atlanta.

I will be in Bowling Green Saturday morning to start the Powertour and pick up multi day credentials. I’m headed back to Texas after Birmingham, AL.
I can’t wait to head eastbound.

A heads up-
We are headed up tomorrow from Atlanta to Bowling Green-
At the same time - the Bonnaroo "Festival" (Supposedly 80,000 in ticket sales-held Thursday- Sunday) in Manchester TN on I-24 between Chattanooga and Nashville.
I think it was '14 we got stuck coming back. Traffic was a mess.
We are planning a drive around tomorrow- just in case.
IF you do go through- I'd make sure you have a full tank.
Richard

Although I was not able to make the tour this year yesterday morning I stopped at a Shell station in Columbia and talked to a group of Long Haulers. Great guys who looked like they were having the time of their life. After that parked my patrol car on I-20 East and watched some great looking cars go by. No I was not running radar.
