Default Who should I trust to service my new 2018 2LZ Z06 auto in South Florida?

I'm a little nervous with all the horror stories I hear of people taking in their brand new z06 for the 500 mile oil change and things go downhill. I live in coconut creek and coconut creek chevy on 441 north of sample road is the closest to me. I didn't buy the car from them since Macmulkin gave me a much better price. Who should I trust in broward county for my warranty and maintenance work? I also purchased a 10 year/100k zero deductible bumper to bumper warranty to protect me in case things go wrong after the warranty is up.

Good to see you are nearby. I live fairly close to sample and lyons road. What year is your z06? auto or manual? Mine is a 2018 z06 2lz auto. It will be here on Monday but its going straight in for ceramic coating first before I even take it on the road. After ceramic coating any good wash/detail places you know of locally who can clean my car without messing up the ceramic coating I'm just getting applied?

I chose this color in particular to get a lower insurance premium and less attention from law enforcement so I can fly under the radar. I might have to check out your buddy's car wash. I simply HATE washing and cleaning cars.

Most dealers that have been servicing Corvettes for a while have been handling oil changes on dry sump systems for the last 12 years. They know how to handle them. The only issue is the Mobil 1 oil fill. When the C7 first came out GM dropped the M1 fill but after a short time brought it back. Some dealer service writers don't understand that yet and say you should get Dexos which they buy in bulk Vs M1 which meets the Dexos spec but isn't purchased in bulk. The mechanics I have talked to understand and use M1 although they may not indicate that to the service writer.

As for not purchasing the car from the dealership most dealer service areas could care less. In some cases where a Customer who purchased from them has a critical situation you may get pushed behind but those situations are rare. Service and Sales are two separate profit areas and the Service Manager isn't going to turn away business just because you didn't buy the car there. That would be cutting off his nose to spite his face.

I bring my '17 Z06 to Autonation Chevrolet on Pines Blvd Pembroke Pines. And brought my '15 there also. Guy Evans in Service is the Corvette Service writer person. Very smart and attentive.
