Default Anyone in Fort Lauderdale? - Car check

Hey Guys,

I found a new car that I am interested in. Anyone around to go check it out. After the last one I am very weary on what the dealers have to say.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=489674034 &zip=46224&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D46224 %26modifySearchId%3D1733294301%26extColo rsSimple%3DYELLOW%26startYear%3D2014%26m axMileage%3D30000%26vehicleStyleCodes%3D COUPE%26incremental%3Dlast_searched-1533381197000%26endYear%3D2015%26modelCo deList%3DCORV%26makeCodeList%3DCHEV%26tr ansmissionCodes%3DMAN%26sortBy%3Dderived priceDESC%26maxPrice%3D50000%26lastExec% 3D1533399197000%26firstRecord%3D0%26sear chRadius%3D0&startYear=2014&numRecords=2 5&maxPrice=50000&vehicleStyleCodes=COUPE &firstRecord=0&endYear=2015&modelCodeLis t=CORV&makeCodeList=CHEV&searchRadius=0& makeCode1=CHEV&modelCode1=CORV

Options wanted:
- z51
- Magride
- Npp
- 2LT
- Data Recorder (Bonus)

Thanks guys.

With an accident on the books, how could anyone, other than a trained professional corvette tech with a lift, be able to give you a good guestimate of the restored condition of the car? Way too many garage queens with low miles and no carfax accidents reported competing at the same resale price points between $40K and $45K to require any prospective buyer to have to step down to the wounded ducks out there.

Its not just that. Its also wanting some eyes on. The last car that looked great had no accidents and it needed 3k with or repairs.

Are you near by.

I sent PMs asking for a look see twice. One of the times a reply came about a month after I sent the PM -(in all fairness to the member who responded, he hadn't been on the forum in a while). The second time was almost immediate. A lot of the guys in that listing might not even be on anymore. It's a crap shoot.

4 1/2 - 5 hours. There HAS to be someone in the area who'll reply. Don't give up.

Ya, I was going to offer to pay for your gas, but that would be a hell of a day. Unless you don't have a corvette at this time, it would be a good opportunity to drive one!!

A big part of buying a car is from whom you buy it. IMO, that dealer sounds like a dealer to avoid. There are so many cars out there. Fall is coming- there will be some good deals to be had. Don't settle. Good luck.

I hear ya, but in my situation, I will most likely never deal with the dealer again since I am out of state. I agree this dealership sounds sketchy, but if I have the car checked out and i don't let them take me money wise, i think i will be ok. the CPO works at any dealer so I bring it home and work with the dealer at home not them ever again.

I have been looking all summer. I wanted kalahari interior but it seems most of those are on automatics. And I gave up on PDR for 2015s long time ago until I found this car. Right now, its checking all the boxes except for the fender bender on the car fax. But if I can get a bigger discount on the car, I think I am good with it.

I want a yellow car, there are not many of those. If I wanted a red or black, I would agree with you, get another. But my choices have been dwindling ever since july. I should have bought a car back in June I found, but at the time I thought they were asking too much. But in the end, I would have been ok with it to get the car then. Lesson learned.

$43 K is a lot for a 4 year old car with 22K miles. As cor66vette said above you can find a lot more cheaper cars with less mileage and use. I have bought a few and do not regret taking the time to really look.
Good luck

Were you looking for my options? I am not finding a plethora of options with the car i want. the kalahari interior is the only option I am giving up in this matter, but it wasn't a deal breaker, just a strong want. I have seen 3 for sale in the last year with kalahari and yellow exterior. And they wanted about 5K more for those cars than what I thought was reasonable.
