Well guys Iam trying to stay positive. Here is the latest information. Mark Davis never returned any of my emails which has never happened so I figured something was up.
This was from Gary Nelson who is now in charge over vettes4vets.
"This is Gary Nelson, I am the President of V4V's. We are still in limbo waiting for the Talladega management to let us know. Mark and I met last week and talked about it and both agree that we are running out of time to make this work. Hopefully we will hear something soon."

I wonder if the construction project has something to do with this delay in V4V getting an answer. The tunnel project is scheduled to be complete for the race in April but the infield work takes place immediately after the spring race and will be completed for the October race. Hopefully we can still run Memorial weekend, but if they had to move V4V track day to a later month it would better than being canceled for the year like in 2015.

couple questions,
Im gonna need new tires by the time this rolls around. I currently have all-season pilot sports on the car, which i do enjoy. Would these be suitable for the event? Or should I plan on a strict summer tire.
Also, i dont have a clear bra, should i blue tape the front and mirrors?

UPDATE: Special thanks to Mike Sheafor (US ICON). He contacted Talladega and they have confirmed to him...that they WILL NOT be having Vettes4Vets this year due to the 50 million dollar expansion and that they will not have any garages available.
I reached out to Gary Nelson of Vettes4Vettes and here is his reply:
"We haven't been told officially but they won't return our calls. The garage area is indeed the problem and we told them we could do our line ups away from the garage area. They didn't reply. It is definitely not looking good for sure.
I will be updating with more information as soon as I receive anything but I agree...not looking good for 2019 guys.
Thanks Jeff

I was hoping they could work a deal for us to run in October once the construction is complete. Not sure if that notion has been put on the table or not.

I have already reached out to them to get specifics on the event. Looks pretty cool, they have laps on sunday that will include the oval and the road course! So a Roval! NICE!I! will update when I find out more but it does look good and very similar to how we run the Vettes4Vets.
Just curious but if our event is finally confirmed cancelled who would be interested in going to Texas?

I don't think a roval. Have a road course inside the big track and the speedway is included in registration, i haven't looked but that was included in registration. Not sure if still do it or not but on friday they set up a course in parking lot with cones and timed and gave out trophies for 1st and 2nd in each class. I'm a great cone killer
