I'm around. Just got done wrenching on one of my cars. What's new, and what's planned this month of next? 
For March Planning, I'm going to the drag strip. Probably the first week the track opens. Bring your Corvette, or whatever you drive these days, I suppose, right?

I know rklessdriver is planning to run at mason dixon in the real street division. Usually run a test and tune on the same day.... I hope to go up for a few of those and make some passes.
Anybody doing any autocross? I never have, but would like to try it!!

They used to run AutoCross at Dominion Speedway in Manassas, and also at the HS in Manassas City. That was 20+ years ago though, so who knows now.
I'm planing on going to either Capitol Dragway when it opens, or maybe MIR.

Dominion speedway is now a housing development. They opened a new track down by Kings Dominion.... I live very close to the High School.... In the past 5 years or so, they have built a new elementary school where the baseball field was. Switched around the parking lot etc. Dont know if there is room anymore.
I think that was northern va corvette club that used to organize those events. Not sure though.

I was looking at NVCC calendar and did not see any racing events on schedule..... Looked at last years news letters and did not see any racing events last year.... But I could have overlooked it

NVCC had one trip to Mason Dixon. There used to be an outing to Mason Dixon with the NVMC (Mustangs), but that fell by the wayside.
One thing to remember, is in a convertible, rules may prevent from running, or stick in a slower group unless caged.
March 2/3 are the first weekend days Capitol is open for racing. I plan to go and will ask Bluewasp to add to the events here once better defined. Should be fun,

If it is the 2nd I can probably make it. Got to replace the brake booster on mine and fix a power steering leak..... I have a bolt on hardtop..... Usually they treat that as a coupe. Hopefully they will give a little lead way for a test and tune.

Also did many events with SCCA and MWCC. Most events I attend now are 1/2 mile events but do plan on using the new Dominion race track this year. I've always kept myself busy with some sort of speed event to include Sport Bike events. It's been a while since I've autocross but ask away any questions you might have. They don't call me CONEKLR for nothin LOL.

When I was a member of NVCC we used the oval track at Old Dominion to Autocross. Good times with inviting the area clubs like the Viper, Porsche, Mustang, Cobra Club member for some autocrossing,
Also did many events with SCCA and MWCC. Most events I attend now are 1/2 mile events but do plan on using the new Dominion race track this year. I've always kept myself busy with some sort of speed event to include Sport Bike events. It's been a while since I've autocross but ask away any questions you might have. Sorry, but for some reason I missed this post.
I know that the new track is also holding some no track prep drag races..... From what I understand it is fairly popular.
If you would let me know when you are going I would appreciate it. If nothing else, I would like to come and watch. I have never autocrossed, etc. Only thing I have done is drag racing.
BTW where are you going for the 1/2 mile events?

ConeKLR, Sometime if you are heading to the new Dominion track I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Even if I didnt run, I would like to watch and learn....
Also, I seen a Va Wannagofast event in july 17. There was a 96 corvette... Was that you?
