I'll be driving up Friday afternoon and I'm staying the weekend. I need a breather. Hopefully the weather cooperates (showing 40% chance of rain on Friday). I REALLY want to drive my '82 up.

Saw 5 maybe heading there today about 2;00. They were 8-10 miles west of Asheville heading west. 1 green shark convertible, a red C5 convertible and 3 more red C5/6 about 1/4 mile ahead. Didn't get a good look at them because I had to exit before I could pass them. They were just cruising and enjoying the day:-). Trying to decide if I want to go down tomorrow or Saturday. It looks rainy tomorrow so may just drive the truck down on Saturday.

Yeah, I was shadowing a white C7 on 40 thru the mountains. They kept it pretty slow so I had to move on down the road. I'm here now and so far have seen dozens. People have been remarking 'Damn, I've never seen so many Corvette's'. Ha.

Rained this morning so I spent the morning chilling with my guitar. Cleared up after lunch so I got the car out of the garage and cleaned it up. Will be there Saturday. Sadly, there is no auction at the new site, but I hope to see plenty of friends and enjoy looking at the beautiful Vettes.

The show was just incredible today. Beautiful weather. So many Corvettes. I would guess over 500 easy! I couldn't believe it. I had a terrific time.
FYI for anybody traveling East on I-40 from Nashville, the interstate is down to one lane about 25 miles west of Knoxville. Give yourself some extra time traveling. Right lane washed out I guess.

Went down and really liked the new venue! A little chilly but full sun. The guy that parked me said the parking lot had 400 spaces and they were so full they were parking them in the middle lanes.Only wish they had a few more vendors.
