Corvettes in Paradise recap
Wow. Great show! A great weekend of vette'ing!
Friday was hot with a dead calm of a wind. Dunno about the rest of you, but I needed four showers that day! By about 3-4pm all the cars got covered and everyone got ready for dinner.
The next morning, the parking lot was full of vettes. In some spots cars were so close together you couldn't even open the door! The weather was just about perfect, cool(er) with a good breeze coming off the ocean.
With more sweat, sweat, and sweat (maybe there was blood and tears, but I couldn't see any past the sweat) everyone's car was beatifully prepped for judging, and IMHO we had not only the best location to display our cars (around the outside of the pool) but the best looking cars!
And the results are in:
'73-'77 Original
Henry Vargas, 3rd place
'97 - '03 Original
Joe Boudreau, 3rd place
'91 - '96 Original
Marty Weber, 2nd place
'97 - '03 Modified
Rick Martinez, 4th place
ZR1
Maurice, 1st place
Late Street ('84 - '03)
Pete Avram, 1st place
Rick Hertzon, 3rd place
Bill Smith, 4th place
'84 - '03 Custom
Fred Schlesinger, 1st place
Great job guys and gals! And I would like to thank everyone that came up for the show, to display, or just visited to lend moral support!
Too bad I have to wait a year to have another bush whacker!
Edit: On a side note I *HATE* UBB! Can the mods just allow links and images to be HTML too? Maybe even bullet points......

A very nice show!!! but HOT, even for a Florida November.
By the way, your club has some VERY NICE rides, and very nice members
We hung around a while with Henry and Dee---good people! I'm glad their '74 took home an award.

Maybe I can make some advanced plans and try to make it next year, but that parking situation scares me a little
