We had it painted and installed at Patriot in Williamsburg. (They used to be the Chevy dealer, now they have Pontiacs, etc.) However, they still have the best paint shop around. Even though my car is 4 years old and has been exposed to the elements, they matched the MY paint on the first try. It's installed with 3M tape...no drilling necessary! Give Steve a call sometime and see if he'll hook you up with 'Jerry'.
JJ!
Do I still get to have some of the beer since I provided the information???
Got the spoiler for Kathy's C5 in last week. Need some help fitting it and would like to know where Steve and Julie had their's painted.Plenty-o-beer in the frige and plenty-o-room in garage since the ZR-1 is down at South GA Vettes getting tweaked!
Just send me a PM. I trial fitted ours.........needed nothing but paint
Might have some time Saturday pm
I PM'ed Steve but Beer is always there for the taking J
Even if you're not there?????
Seriously though, I think you'll be pleased once you get the spoiler on Kathy's vette. It makes a world of difference in the looks of the car....can't tell if it's added an 'additional' increase in speed, but I can attest that it surely hasn't caused me any decrease!!!
Hope you, Kathy and your family have a happy turkey day!
... It is, he painted the car the right way once (everythign apart) but it came out too yellow once on the car... it was lighter. Then he mixed up another batch w/ a bit more red in it and sprayed it but w/ my duct still on etc (not the same attention to detail) and it's a poor match in artificial light. It's been over a year now b/c I just didn't want to deal with it. I may go back to him eventually and see if we can work something out... theres a drip all the way down the rocker panel that you only notice when down on the ground, a run in the bumper cover, and the paint chips badly behind the left rear wheel where the new paint is...
No secret, you should call Jerry in the body shop at:

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Did Tim shoot and mix the paint? After doing all the prep work, etc. I brought mine to Tim, provided the materials, and paid him for 4 hours of his time to shoot the base and clear. His work was great but I wouldn't expect the same from all his employees.
