Dyno Shop/High-Perf Tuning (BAY AREA)??
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum, and recently bought a 99 coupe. Its A4, 2.73, All stock. I'm looking to do basic mods (air intake...then exhaust). I'm looking for a realible/decently priced shop in the Bay area that does Dyno tests, and High performance tuning...who understand and specialize in Corvettes. I'm in the Fremont area and will drive up to 75 miles to find a good shop and a good technician. Plz help and refer your favorite shops.
Thanks....Lookin forward to joining you al.....

Do either of those shops do C4s? I've been really considering a cam lately...and gears! But I'm going to the shop that did your gears...

Aaron, I've got my car being dyno tuned at another shop in Hayward today......a C4 guy. I should have a report later this week.

I know Newtech does C4's - He was tuning a white C4 LT1 that had a heads/cam package. The final numbers were 360'ish rwhp....don't know the torque. I'm also thinking about a cam.
As for gears, I'm really contemplating going back to a 3.73 gear. I'm not 100% satisfied with theses 4.10's (I think I'm too picky - heck I want to try another exhaust system).

Which shop? The only C4 guy I know in Hayward is Pat@Precision Motive.

Great going guys....
I live in Hayward. But anything in a 75 miles (that's worth the price/quality) I won't mind driving to. From the response here, seems like most people are leaning towards *Synergy* in Fremont, and I've had a couple of responses for *Newtech Performance* in Hayward also. I'd like to get my PCM reprogrammed / tuned for performance, a place where they'd use a Professional software to jack up the performance in my C5 (A4), and also be able to give me before & after Dyno sheet showing the difference. I don't have any mods yet, but will be doing air-intake, and exhaust soon. Changing the 2.73 to 3.15/3.42 will be down the line. So I'd like to stick to one shop / one technician.
I can always find a better price on the parts by shopping on Ebay, or other Corvette online vendors, but my concern is the labor is too expensive. So, a place where they're honest about the labor price, and not cheat you out of quality work/have garantee for their work...would be a place where I'd feel comfortable. I like to shop around, so plz keep 'em coming, I'd like to know about some more Corvette shops around the Bay area.. Thanks in advance...

I just had a bunch of work done by Synergy Motorsports. I am very **** regarding my car and I have researched and talked to all of the local shops around the bay area and Synergy is the only place I trust with my car. If it wasn't for Synergy I would have my car down at Andy's Corvette in the Los Angeles area.
Good luck with whoever you decide to go with.

I think Newtech might be the place for you. He has LS1-edit to tune your computer, and he has a dyno-jet. Give him a call - leave a message if he doesn't answer - he'll call you back and get you taken care of.

I have been there and done that with the local shops. If you want to meet up and check out the work on my car let me know. I am not into spending big money for junk, poor work or a poor performing car.
