Damm Bruce, those endplates should be worth at least a second on SM's 2.7 or 3.1!

What was the point of this post? Especially since the OP doesn't even know how to post pictures

I am glad you guys you guys are happy with Excelsior I've called there and laughed at some of the prices he has quoted me for stuff but I guess he must give you a something special for all that extra $$$. To bad he can't afford to become a sponser on here I wonder what he does with the extra $$$.

I too was quoted $3,600.00 for labor and tuning for heads and cam, when three other shops had quoted me around $1,500.00.

Reid, you ask some valid questions and I think that I`m qualified to answer some of them for you!

Let`s start with the "he must give you something special for those prices"...it comes down to "you get what you pay for," in my car`s case, I previously had work done by two different well respected So Cal shops...even after taking my car back FOUR TIMES I still had issues with the wiring and the tune!!!

Excelsior not only fixed the other shops messes, the additional work and tune he did was top notch and still NO ISSUES to this day!
Reid, you know my car...on paper it should not run as stout as it does and shouldn`t keep up with half of the cars in our group, the only reason is that Kushan has a real talent for setting up the car where everything works together!!
It takes years of experience to get to this level of knowledge and my car is proof that it works, it`s not just about horse power or cheap prices!
I hope that answers your pricing question..

Now, as for being a sponsor on this site....it takes a great deal of time to monitor/maintain a sponsorship on this or any forum.
Kushan feels to do so would take away from his devotion and time spent on the customer cars in his shop...let`s face it, you can`t do two things at once...if you`re working the internet you aren`t working on your customer`s cars!!!

Last but not least...the profit he makes goes back into shop equipment and R&D which benefits all the customers in the end!

The bottom line is, it`s good that we have so many shop choices here in So Cal!

Last I heard, this country uses what is called a "free enterprise system" whereby someone can charge whatever they like for goods and services. Likewise, consumers can make a CHOICE as to whether or not they find that charge a good value. They can either patronize said vendor or go someplace else.

That ends this economics lesson.

And this thread.
