Busted heading South on the 15 towards Temecula
At one of the first open spots I hit the gas and a motor cop got me at 96 mph. He was hiding very well. My first speeding ticket in 26 years. I could tell right away that I was going to get a ticket and it was no use saying anything. He could have written me up for no front tag, tinted side windows, and tinted side markers. Before I could even finish putting my paper work away he already had someone else pulled over. Be careful when heading that way.

Hope the fine isn't to bad!

bummer you got nailed. Been like that now for over year heading down south of the 91 with CHP. Also, on the 57 just south of Brea canyon, there is usually a CHP with a Lidar a few times a week nailing 18 wheelers and people.

Yeah they are all over now here in socal...
I got nailed on the 60 FWY a month ago doing 82; cop was on the side of the freeway kneeling behind his open door shooting people with his lidar gun.
A detector would NOT have helped me in this situation, although I'm still going to buy a Escort Redline unit. I have since kept a keen eye on my speed and choose only to press the gas on extremely special occasions.

You can't have any fun these days, the state is broke and I see CHP hiding all the time on freeways. I saw one yesterday parked side ways just below the on ramp watching traffic on the I105. I saw another with a radar gun hiding on the I5 on the way back from Carlsbad. My girlfriends cousin got two speeding ticket two months apart near Barstow at night on the way to Las Vegas.

You can have plenty of fun. You can go faster, be safer and learn more about high performance driving.

It is cheaper and more exciting than a ticket, too.

went and saw my mom in Victorville today.. on the way home my radar detector lit up going south on the 15 and when I crested the top of Cajon. I looked in my rear view mirror and there was a white CHP sitting there on the side of the on ramp going south... Glad I decided not to play with the porche.

He didn't reduce it at all. When he got me I saw 90 on my heads up display. Not 96. I told him this and his words we're "I got you at 96 with the radar gun. That's the ticket".

I always keep it to about 5 over (or less) on that stretch. The upside is that they barely can be found on the rest of the surrounding freeways and I mostly know where they are anyhow.
Basically what happened was a whole buttload of people in SDCo moved to Temecula about 15 years ago and used that stretch as their personal autobahn to cheap housing.

I sold my z because I was sick of being followed all the time. Even the day I sold the car I was followed for 8 miles down the harbor freeway by a CHP. I had the cruise set at 65 and he still followed me. Bought my XLR and they drive right by me now when I'm doing 75!

That motorcycle CHP is a daily speed-trap. He uses the Rainbow scale down-ramp as a slingshot and he uses a laser gun. I have my GX-65's GPS programed to remind me of the speed trap there.
He also parks at the I-15 North, Hwy 79 South exit.
