Glad to hear this, now he will have to put up with the "garage door opener/key fob and pace maker " jokes. You will be fine won't even notice it is in there once it heals!!!

OK Doug - so how much more HP does this pacemaker give you?
You goning be able to push the throttle down a little harder?
How many speeds per foot step does this mod give your body?
How much $$$ did this mod cost $1,000,000,000 - it's worth it!
Come on we what the facts!

Hi everybody, I did make it home this afternoon but its not been a picnic i can tell you that. From the ablation (both sides) to the pacemaker/defib unit, never have i been in so much pain that its making me sick. I do have some tylenol 3 prescription that i hope will break this pain cycle.
Varmit, I hope the pain goes away and I'm good as new. the pain is very intense and i have a high pain tolerance so I will quit whining about the pain.
Kodak, I opted for a unit that gives me mod options and included the mild to wild option.
One of the biggest obstacles right now is that i am not supposed to drive for at least a week and have my left arm in a sling for at least two weeks.

Doug - we're so glad to hear everything is better now and you're on your way to a more fun lifestyle...one with less pain involved!!
You may have had the Mild-to-Wild option installed, but I'd opt to leave it in the Mild mode for a few more weeks, then it's WOT all the way baby!!
We all look forward to seeing you back on the road again and putting together some more of those greats trips you're so famous for.

Hey Doug, I am so very glad that you are back home and recovering.
I may be up in your area this weekend for the BBB so I may just stop by and say hi if that is OK with you.
See you soon,
Kent

Hello Doug,
Just saw the post about you being in the hospital with a heart attack.
Glad to hear that you are doing better.
Kaye and I enjoyed the time that we spent with you, your wife and all of your friends during the run to the Giant Sequoia's.
All of us here in the Fresno/Clovis area hope you have a speedy recovery.

Hi Chris, thank you. yes I am doing better. fortunately I guess it was not actually a heart attack. It did almost get me a few times but I'm on my feet now and getting stronger each day.
It has been an eye opening experience that i hope no one else has to go through. I can tell you and everyone else this: When you are not feeling well and have some unusual symptoms going on in your chest, please do not wait. Go and have it checked out!
The doctors say i will be good as new after 6 weeks, and I'm already working on our next tour which will be to Zion National Park!
Thanks again and hope to see everyone real soon!
