Default Anyone local done a 4l60e to T400 conversion

2002 Silverado 5.3

OR...find me a 4l60e that wont break. Im easy on this thing and still-

Also any experts know if dropping in a 6.0 or 8.1 is legit for smog

To my understanding you can do a swap to a larger engine if that model could be ordered with it (meaning 3/4 or 1 ton).

Could not find an answer calling CARB etc.
Need to know for SURE before I ruin this thing lol

Cant do it right this sec but over the next yr want to completely freshen this thing up so its more reliable, more power (poss for towing).

Most trucks like mine are hammered wtih a bazillion miles so thought why not sink the dough into this one.

Doubt Id miss mileage much is the same in D at 60 as it is in OD cant keep a 4l60e in this thing (meaning failures). Never was able to kill a T400
Thoughts? Price?

TRC trans in Chatsworth quoted me $2400 guess thats inc crossmember driveshaft cutting etc. Not sure how it will play with the computer.
