I'm good with any of those dates. Probably wont be the same turnout as the original fathers day date but hopefully enough will still show up for a decent drive.

Now if this is happening, it should be at the end of the month or beginning of next.

Too much time has gone and really tuff for some e folks like myself to requested day off from work.

Honestly, I feel it's not going to happen and its a bust.

So, maybe we should all put our thinking caps on and start planning a new run...somewhere...anywhere. I'm thinking Lone Pine or Palm Springs or anywhere we can get together, drive, and have some fun. How about Big Bear ??

Ok guys..... I have talked to Sparky and Pat from The Block, and Mike from Northridge corvettes Vally guys.. and its not good....

We all have been looking at the fires.. its devastating... and they continue...

Sparky is an ex-firefighter and said the roads will be bad for over a month until the derby goes away from the drivers getting pitted to death in there cars,, and traction can be unpredictable and that is not good for us ether,,,

then if you look a month or more out,, more than that because the fires are still going... and then you end up in August and September,,, summer months from hell....

It just looks like this years run will be canceled, at least as far as Solvang and Hungary Valley area and every where in-between..


A beautiful run is also the Block's Mt Baldy run...



I am so sorry to all who have planned this and all who go every year...

Mother nature was just not on our side this year.... but there will be a 2017 #6 run!

less there be floods.... earthquakes..... or a civil war:-)..... peace to all, and god bless

Big Bear is good... Take the front side up, the back side down...... one car can jam you up the entire run though, and it is well traveled..

palm springs... to barren.... and you will fry:-(

think more northern.... towards the Mammoth area... not that far, actually only about 1/2 way... some beautiful roads, clear driving in many parts, wow... this would be a nice run
