This event is always popular, and it is already filling up in some groups. If you don't grab your spot now you may not get one—which would be a bummer because it's a great track

Default Spring Mountain event Memorandum

Hey Competitors,

Due to the increased travel time to this event, Speed ventures and Wilwood Corvette Challenge is allowing lap times to be counted toward the Wilwood Corvette Challenge on April 22 OR April 23. Please email info@speedventures.com to let us know you want your Saturday times applied to WCC.

MAZDA Raceway Laguna Seca uses this format and others like Sonoma. Next year Spring mountain will probably change to this format.

Thanks for your interest in the Wilwood Corvette Challenge presented by SPEED VENTURES

Posted the below in the other challenge thread, was meant for this. Registered Modified, Saturday and sunday

Hey guys been a long long long time since I ran the challenge. Not sure if I will know anyone but I am back and running modified at this event based on the checklist. I am registered with SV and look forward to meeting you all. First time at this track, tons more mods than before so I plan on coming Saturday and slowly re-acquainting myself with the car . Anyone else coming Saturday?

Hey Richard,

Can't wait to meet you at Spring Mountain. I looked at your car mods in your profile and its pretty awesome!

I've been running, on and off, with Speed Ventures since 2006. This is going to be my first full year running with them.

Based off of the mods listed in your profile, I classed you in SUPER MODIFIED. And this did not include any points for tires. Let's talk some more about this.

I'm driving up Saturday.

See you on the track, John

Thanks John, Unless I missed something on the list I think it should be modified. Let me know if you want to exchange notes, thanks and look forward to meeting you too.

I calculate my total points at 165

C6 LS2 - 50
Forced induction - 90 - I did not add aftermarket exhaust manifold as I was told the FI 90 hit covered that. If it was turbo charged that would be FI and also come with different exhaust manifolds.
Coilovers 20
Sway Bars 10
Vented Hood 5
Full Roll bar negative 10
_____________________
165 points, if we hit for the headers 175 points but as stated above if I recall correctly, I requested that clarification earlier this year and was informed FI covered the exhaust Manifolds.

Let me know your thoughts.

Default There's going to be a BATTLE in Modified!

Hey Richard,

This competition is just for fun. You have looked into your classing. That's good enough for me.

You are going to be in my class. I'm running the Pirelli slicks +140, c5Z06 +50, sway bars +10. 200 total. This is going to be a good fight between HP and handling.

See you at the track. John

Hey guys unfortunately my car wont be ready in time for this one but I should be in for the challenge next event on. Getting a custom fog light mounted external oil cooler so I can actually run more than 2-3 laps with the blower.

Hey guys!

I recently moved into the Vegas area and wanted to swing by the event this weekend to talk with some of you guys about setting up my C5 for another event in the future, and generally just getting a good wiff of exhaust fumes and listening to some screamin' motors. Let me know if anyone can help!! Thanks!

I made it out midday Sunday and spoke with a few awesome C5 guys. Lots of great info and tips from fellow vette owners, as always, so I'll start gathering parts as soon as the car gets into town in May.

It seemed like SV was saying they would run the 3.1 mile config on their webiste, but the 3.4 mile was run in the end? Was there any reasoning for the change?
