Hi Pat!! Couldn't make it to this one
I am currently spending some days on Baja, bought a new Raptor and I am trying to see it's off-road capabilities since I can't do that with the Vette. Hope to see you next month

Beautiful truck Gio Don't get lost. No middle of the pack down there. Drink all the coffe you want. Every bush can be a pit stop.

Did I miss anything? -Fred (newbie emeritus?)

That leaves me out, I cant back up worth a ****. I was hoping no one noticed.

I can't back up either. I usually pull in. I backed in this time, and Sparky said I was taking up 2 spaces, and I rebacked in. He mentioned taking 2 spaces leaves you open to getting keyed. Hes right.I made it the 2nd time. I use to be a good backer. Since I turned 30 I don't back up too good.

Either Pat or I will help you back in. Many a time the passenger will sit there like a dead person while you try to back in!

Didn't realize that much pressure was being applied to the newbies. Common sense goes go along ways when you think about it. This I've seen hundreds of times at the Pomona Swap Meet! I helping the person in their 'vette to back in while the passenger just stares off into space!!!

Hope some will review these guidelines (common sense) in 13 years and enjoy -

We don't have rules, just common sense.

Thank you Sparky & Pat. Great run - my son and I were "newbies" coming from the San Fernando Valley. I drove to Krispy Kreme and he drove during the run to Tom's Farm. My turn driving back. Fun driving and fun being a passenger.

Hello Group, this is my first post. I met someone at a gas station with a Vette who recommended this site. I'll check back to see when the next meet up is, I'd love to join in.

Also, how do I get my photo to be upright? Hopefully I don't drive as bad as I post photos!

We would love to have you along for our cruises. Sparky usually posts around the first of the month when our next cruise is. Most always on a Sunday and we meet at the Block of Orange (Outlets of Orange now) and head off to parts unknown.
As for your picture it looks like you're laying down. Not sure how fix that one.

Well, since I also own the exact 'vette you have...you're most welcome to join us at The Block! Actually, we welcome everyone.

If wherever you store your pic at, flip it there, then replace your avatar with the new pic...a very nice one at that!

Hope to see you there.

It was great having you both along and to talking to you at lunch!

Hope to see you both at one of our next runs.

My brother and I went on our first meet up last weekend and had a great time. Btw, we live in Irvine too! Wave if you see a Laguna Blue c7 convertible with its top down (unless the temp is over 90, like Tom's Farms, then the top goes back up). I would also recommend the weekly Cars and Coffee at the Outlets in San Clemente, Saturdays from 7-9am. (Search South OC Cars and Coffee online or on FB).
I'm usually there by 6:30, so I can find a nice spot I don't have to back into . There are always at least 1-2 dozen Corvettes there, all generations, and a few hundred cars overall. Welcome to the forum! -Fred

Nice to meet you two and a great add to a good bunch of owners who drive sanely.

Welcome, Sherie. Tis always great to meet new folks. I've suggested this to a few at gas stations. Driving a Corvette in SoCal offers mixed rewards with all the congestion, so these cruises are a chance to enjoy the car; amid others, is a plus!

I doubt this group would be short of driving suggestions, albeit polite!

Not an expert, but is the pic of normal orientation before posting as avatar?
