A perfect grand day!!! 20 showed and 16 went on the cruise. Lots of photos coming, even some showing the airplanes at the March Air Field Museum.
Thanks to the newbies that showed and I hope the guy with the huge tire bulge that everything went well if it was towed.
A VERY MERRY CHRISMAS to everyone from Pat and I. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL!!!

Yes, but........
....you didn't take into account the fog Pat! Another great top down cruise with the Blockheads! It started out cool and slightly foggy, then warmed up nicely through the canyons only to turn cool on Ortega Highway and finally back to beautiful clear blue skies with plenty of warmth. Nice choice of destination at March Air Base Museum. We were warmly greeted by security and assisted in parking our cars in a couple of locations for photo opportunities. Lunch at Farmer Boys finished off the day.
Thanks again Sparky and Pat!

Well, thank you. It is/was a lot of work. Old stuff breaks and get worn out regularly. Someone mentioned early on that it sounded like a exhaust leak on the drivers side. Yep, it got louder through out the day. Hopefully it's just a loose header bolt.

AH, my old office before all were stretched into Lockheed C141 'B' models (shown) also adding the refueling receptor. They 'cubed out' before reaching max payload, you see, so 3 more pallet positions were added to the existing 10. The wing roots were also modded to increase cruise speed and fuel burn. In camo paint, we called them StarLizards; used for airdropping troops and equipment into combat zones. That paint made the surface quite rough, worsening already crappy fuel consumption for those 4 Pratt & Whitney TF33s (turbo fans w/33 first stage (fan) blades). The bird was USAF's workhorse, worldwide, taking me to 5 of 7 continents, Kathmandu, Teheran, other garden spots, plus two sessioins at the Red Flag aerial war games! 320 knots at <100' above ground level is exciting and challenging, but allowed hidden ingress/egress to the drop area from radar.
Okay, I feel better now!
Good times, Sparky, Pat, et.al., as always, and thanks. Safe, happy December to all, with love and joy abounding. See you on the unofficial OC tour in Jan. Old cars need more love, so we'll see what's running.
