Default Jan. 1st-Mini-Block of Orange

Hello fellow "BLOCKHEADS and NEWBIES!!!"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We'll be meeting on New Years Day at around 6:30 AM or before for our special GTG!!!

REMEMBER, THIS IS FOR "ALL 'VETTE YEARS!"

Krispy Kreme
330 The City Drive South or City Blvd. East
Orange, CA 92868

WE'LL LEAVE AT 7 AM TO ARRIVE JUST A LITTLE PAST 7:30, TO GET IN LINE AND PARK.

(THIS MONTHS (January-our first of 2) CRUISE, WHICH WE'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS, WILL TAKE US OUT TO:

15TH ANNUAL TOUR D'ORANGE

LOCATED AT: JUST DOWN THE STREET FROM THE PLACE WE USED TO MEET ON RED HILL AND FISCHER. Facebook now shows a building north of Paularino and east of Bristol...maybe it's getting close to where we're going to meet.

I'll have maps for all.

Hoping to see you all there!

You can go later, but the line gets long!

I've done this in a Smart cabrio, the '84 Shinoda, a '55 modified Nash Rambler, for starters. ALL were fun as it's a car show before, after and enroute (with full audio). It's not a race and the local gendarme is well aware of this event that officially does not occur.

I'm proud to know that no Vettes were ticketed, unlike the bonehead in the Rustang who got two, last year, I believe.

Where else can you hear exotics and collectibles that leave the garage once/year? Where else would a racing-suited Lambo driver remark to a Smart driver how fast the 3-cyl. micro-car is!? Where else would a Lois Lane looking Rambler embarrass a C6?

POh, I thought you had it "just down the street". Tho, typically cryptic or very late posted, I see you have the FB site:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1507...tab=discussion

I'm on NO 'social media'. Maybe RickC5 will chime iut, as he's usually more dialed in on some events than I . I'll ask tonight at our club Xmas dinner.

Sorry. Watch U talkin' 'bout, Willis?

U said, " Facebook shows a residential area for the meeting place, I'm sure it won't be there" and it seemed you saw their facebook page, as I did, albeit as a non-FBer. Last year, someone said the old meeting place had been sold and a change was in the offing.

I had no opp to ask if anyone at the club dinner, knew the new site.

BTW, it was an 18-wheeler!

Um, no. A 747 has 18 wheels; two on the nose gear and sixteen in four main landing gear 'trucks'!

While a but unsettling, the Tour details are usually released at the 11th hour.

I refuse to be defined!
Maybe I'll bring the 31 year old turbo Volvo 760 I've just revived! Unless the Nash is back running; probably too dark for the '57 F100 with missing grille (restoring it- welding, etc.).

Then the black C5 vert hasn't seen the tour, unlike the Smart cabrio!
