Default Jan. 14th Pomona Swap Meet-park your 'vette for $25

January 14th...Pomona Swap Meet-park your 'vette for $25

For those that have never been to the Pomona Swap Meet, it's a great venue to visit on December 3rd.

Of course the weather will be perfect, park your Corvette in an area with only Corvettes and be graciously directed where to park by me...(Sparky...on my name tag)!

Parking is $25 when you come in thru Gate 15 off Arrow Hwy. You can come in anytime after 8 AM on the Saturday the day before and get a front row spot. Usually about 100-150 show. All years are usually there, so there are plenty to see. If you want to take your steel car, parking is $12 and admission is $10 thru gate 17.

Park it to show or sell. Plenty of places to eat and buy beer!

The swap meet part is just like you remember as a kid, with plenty of "stuff" to choose from. You also get to admire 1000's of every kind of car you can imagine. The areas are: Corvette/Street Rod/Muscle/Classic/Porsche/Import/VW.

Hope to see you there and don't forget to say I saw the post on the Corvette Forum!

SPARKY - THAT'S WHAT MY NAME TAG SAYS

So the $25 to park the Vette includes admission to the event?

Come on...hope to see you there!!! Get your lazy *** out of bed and be one of the first to say, "I'm early, but I want a front row seat!!!"

If not, then we've saved you one of the BEST possible spaces left...THE BACK ROW!!!

Hope to see you on Sunday...'cause it's going to be a PERFECT weather day!!!

I am hoping to get my "barn find" C3 on the road tomorrow and come by Saturday!

A couple of quick questions... how late can I come Saturday and still expect to get a good spot? I may haven to swap out a PS pump Saturday morning.

Also, when will we be able to leave on Sunday... I assume, first in, last out... yes?

There are usually 14 spots in the front row and usually only 4-5 are taken before I get there on Sunday at 3 AM. All the rest of the Corvette area is empty. Yes, you can bring in your 'vette anytime after 8 AM on Saturday and you can leave anytime on Sunday. The show is over at 2 PM.

Ok, one last question... What is security like on Saturday night?

Been there 7 years and have never heard of any break-ins, etc. They have security driving around all night.

Sure, there's always space, but the later you come, the farther back you park.

What a great gathering of Corvettes! 115 showed up to show and sell. Everything was perfect until some old **** decided that he deserved two spaces...because his older (C1/2) 'vette was worth it. This was the first time that this has ever transpired. Maybe after its towed he can pick it up in Compton.

My partner let him park that way...me...let him try that in March...towed or straightened out...or refund your $25!!!

What a great day...geese, they were so many super looking 'vettes, not even counting the hundreds upon hundreds (over 1000) other cars...WHAT A DAY TO BE AT THE SWAP!!!! ...it was packed!!!!

Hope to see you on March 4th!
