I keep missing the Valley GTG because of work, but it looks like I'll probably be off the 25th, so this might work.
It looks like it's a bit of a drive from Camarillo, but I wouldn't mind getting out for a run with some other Vettes, as long as my social director doesn't already have plans for us. (Note to self - Check with wife about the 25th. Try to persuade her to ride along)

The Block runs have been going on since 2005. They are cruises to different places each month. We drive our Vettes in a safe manner. No accidents, or tickets. This months run is to Julian. San Ysabel to Julian pie place for lunch. Bring wife its a friendly group.

My TRUSTED SIDEKICK has stated it better than I ever could.!!!

Just to rectify what Pat said...we will not be going to JULIAN...there is no parking there. Most of us will not park on the street with our cars...hence, having lunch before there.

I think Sparky was referring to the private mall security.

You two sure do have a way with words!

Should be a beautiful day for a cruise. It could be a tad chilly with our tops down, but we'll see.

Pie ordered! We'll see about whether the wife will approve going without a top. Might be too chilly.

Our route will be a little different this time, hence the earlier 8:30 depart time.

5 south, 74 (Ortega Hwy) east, 15 south, 76 (Pala Rd) east/south to our destination.

Hope to see you Jon, Glenn and Linda and all the rest there!

If you haven't been on the Mesa Grande Rd. turn-off, just before Lake Henshaw, from 76 that intersects with 79 approximately 12 miles later you should at least have one vehicle scout it for you. It is an excellent drive, albeit short and you will thoroughly enjoy both the technical road as well as the scenery.

Above is a link to a PCoA (Porsche Club of America) I'm sorry! description and map. I ride this road on my Harley often (at least a half dozen times a year) and it never disappoints. Usually the only regret is that it isn't longer. I've ridden it both directions but prefer the southbound drive. As described there are some very tight hairpins that must be carefully negotiated.

Dan, years ago we used to go to Santa Ysabel Casino to have lunch, before it closed. One of our group asked Pat and I if we wanted to go back home using that road...we both declined.

He went off the road and the only thing that stopped him from going all the way down was a wall.

We were all glad he was safe, but I had a feeling about that road, that's why we've never taken it, coming or going.

We'll wave at the street sign as we go by.

I totally understand and that's why I had suggested a scout. I've not been on the road in/on anything other than my Harley Tourer. It may not have as much allure from the Vette' cockpit. I know that I often enjoy Glendora Mountain Road on my bike as well but the one and only time I came down that road in my Vette' it was a totally different experience and I was very glad when I finally got to the bottom as another 3 or 4 miles and I think I would have had to find a turnout to empty my stomach. I was quite surprised at how much different the road experience was car vs. bike.

Anyway you all be safe and have a wonderful drive!

GREAT TURNOUT!!! What, about 23 cars showed and around 15 went on the cruise.

Nice to see some newbies and the regulars. Pics will be coming soon.

Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, great food and super duper company!!!

See everyone in March if we don't get rained out.

Yes Sparky, it was a beautiful day for a run to get some pies! I had the top down as long as I could but had to raise it and turn on the heat to stop shivering right after taking these pictures.
