Default Looking for a new mechanic: San Fernando Valley

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the LA area, specifically the San Fernando Valley?

I'm looking for someone to replace my oil pan seals, and maybe replace the engine mounts too. Stealership was going to charge over 200$ per hour to do the job... nope!

Would love some advice!

Thanks!

Check American Heritage, they are a forum vendor and I always hear good things about them. There located in Harbor City, good luck.

Give us a call 310-326-2399

We are the country's premier Corvette and LS/LT specialty shop. We have customers that drive or trailer to us from as far away as North Carolina, Florida and even Maine.

The Technician mentioned Above (Edwin) works for us and is our lead tech (has been for the past 4 years).

We are 5 star reviewed on Yelp, google, you name it.

+1 for American Heritage Performance! They have been taking care of all our engine and driveline work for years.

I highly recommend American Heritage Performance. I have taken my vette there a few times and very satisfied with their work.

Hey Guys, thanks for all the recommendations!

Ended up at a Corvette shop right next to my work, literally called "Corvette Shop Inc" in SFV. I was excited because it was a corvette specialty place, and super convenient location! Unfortunately the communication and people skills are extremely lacking, I do not recommend going there unless you are desperate.

Is that the place on Topanga Blvd. if so I didn't have a positive experience. Owner grumpy like I was bothering him when asked a few questions. Mechanic didn't seem to be to knowledgeable about corvettes. Finally went to American Heritage but not real convenient from the SFV but they do great work. Let us know if you find someone local.

How was the quality of their work? I can live with grumpiness and a lack of people skills and so can my car.

I met with them once; didn’t get a good feeling and their quote was high to fix headlights.
I passed and did them myself for a fraction of the cost.
