C7 diffuser material
Thanks for the input. The original diffuser (damaged in a rear ender) on my '15 Z06 has a black shiny finish. Autonation Chevy quoted me $795.00 for the part number that came up for my VIN number.
He said the description says "carbon flash". Do you have an idea if it will have the same black shiny finish or some kind of weave look?
Thanks again.

Carbon Flash is what most of the diffusers and many of the optional pieces are painted in and is basically metallic black. I have that same diffuser on my '14 C7 Stingray. The carbon fiber diffusers are aftermarket pieces and considerably more expensive.
There is a used one for sale in the 4-sale section here you can pick up for about half that shipped to you and replace it yourself - pretty easy job.

Thanks to all for the input. Looks like I'm on the right track with the $795 dealer part.
The body shop found more damage, a bolt on support that runs across the back is cracked and will be replaced. Fortunately the "at fault" guy's insurance is picking up the tab.

If you have insurance on it, you will be paying way more than $795 at the end.
