Default RICK from The Block of Orange passed away this week.

This info was forwarded to me from Vince of the I.E. Crew.

Rick was the guy that drove that 1999 FRC white with a red stripe down the middle. His forum name was Ricks99FRC.

We'll all miss him, especially those of us at The Block. He came to almost every Block GTG and went on most of them. Always fun to talk with and he had a ton stories to tell.

He was always in a great mood when he showed up and livened up the cruises that he went on.

Our deepest condolences to his family in their time of grief.

Wherever you are Rick

...we love ya and miss ya!!!

This hurts, being too close to home.

Rick had a wealth of information, freely shared from a keen mind of his many years as a Chevrolet mechanic, racing enthusiast and huge K.C.sports fan. He was on a first name basis with innumerable legendary people in ALL those activities and his stories and personal valuable collections of treasures from all of them were dear to anyone who came to know him. He seemed to remember everyone's name and I never saw him down; POed maybe, after his memento-filled house was ransacked by thieves. Doubtful those turds had a clue of much of their value.

Rick gave his time as freely as his tales; was the expert pal who inspected the C5 I bought and after minimal carping about driving my Smart car home, he piloted, with rave reviews, the tri-black joy I've brought to the Block. He virtually lit up when he slid behind the wheel, expertly calling up, then clearing codes. I hated to see him light yet another cig, near constant, but cheered when he spoke of the new cutie in his life. Too little time with him at the LBGP was a deluge of delight, trivia and more stories. His joy was deep and hardly invisible behind a seemingly stern look. His dancing eyes gave me real insight to Rick.

RIP my dear friend. Your heart was pure gold and your reward is an exit from a frail human body to a much better place.

^^^^ A very nice summary of my Father. Thank You for sharing a good description of who he was and the life he lived.
