Default Recommended dealerships around Los Angeles for service?

For anyone who lives in LA area what dealership would you recommend is the best to service the Z? I have been to Keyes chevrolet couple of times in van nuys and they have been great (no major issues with the car). Going to Rydell for the next appointment as my friend recommended me a mechanic who works there and does alot of work on corvettes. Thoughts?

Yeah, Donnie is his name and he works on all the Corvettes according to the service reps. I’ve had him service my car and spoke to him briefly. Definitely knows his stuff and works on a few ZO6’s that are being tracked. Hope this helps bro! Let me know if you change your mind and want to swap brakes lol! Oscar

I also heard about the same guy from a friend who teaches mechanics that work for GM, he told me he is one of his favourite mechanics and that he's really good at what he does and also said he works on some badass vettes. We'll see about the brakes lol

Donny York is Rydell's Corvette specialist master mechanic. He is not the only tech there who works on Corvettes. My service advisor, David Joslyn is a straight-shooter and I let him decide what jobs require Donny's expertise. Totally satisfied with the service I have received there. When I went in for the fuel vapor leak issue, David held my car for two days for Donny to become available. Worth the wait.

Simi Valley Chevrolet, Has a New Service manager and there are two Corvette specialists. I have been taking my Vette there for three years no complaints, they do great work and very friendly and professional!

Not a big fan of their dealership, one day I walked in to buy a ZL1 1LE and asked to take it for a test drive or even be drivin in the car to feel the suspension and they just treated me like a joke and also they're about an 1 hour away from me

Sounds like they know what they are doing from the other post, but once you get a bad taste from a dealership you usually dont want to go back

Thanks for this info on Rydel. Keyes is a joke. Seriously some of the worst service people I have dealt with. Took my vette to them to make sure my alignment was good from the Factory. They told me that the alignment is fine by looking at the car visually????!! Incompetent..

In my experience Keyes was alright, however they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about the MRC retune for the suspension

Just an update on Rydell, I took my car in this morning and had an appointment from 1 week ago and asked for a specific person to work on my car and I double checked this morning before going to the dealership and they said yes he will be working on your car, however when I got there they told me that the guy I asked for a week ago was too busy and could not take the car and that they were very backed up and might have to keep the car overnight, now I don't know about anyone else but I always thought the purpose of an appointment was so this doesn't happen, this is all for a faulty brake sensor and the MRC upgrade, anyways I left the car and asked to try and do it today and funny thing is he didn't even offer me a rental or a ride to my house since it was 30 miles away, I had to ask for a rental and then he said yes. I did not like this one bit and seemed like a waste of time to drive an hour in LA traffic, very disappointed.
