Laguna Seca Oct 14-17
Plans are now finalized for the Corvette Corral at Laguna Seca Oct 14-17 during the ALMS & Speed World Challenge Races.
Ticket information and purchase, please contact: 1-800-327-SECA or (831) 648-5100 and mention “Corvette Corral.”
Handout location for Corvette Corral Passes is pending. I will post when location is finalized.
The Corvette Corral will be at Turn #5 where we were last year.
As a special event for this year's ALMS races at Laguna Seca, all Corvettes are invited to join us for a cruise through Pebble Beach on Sunday October 17, 2004.
We will meet at the Safeway Parking lot, 1212 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove. As you can see from the map, the meeting point is readily accessible whether coming from Laguna Seca, Pacific Grove, Monterey or Carmel. Map of Safeway, 1212 Forest Ave Pacific Grove, CA by MapQuest
Meeting time is 10:00 AM sharp, so you should plan to leave Laguna Seca at 9:30 AM.
After a brief driver's meeting, we will head out onto Highway 68 for about a half mile and enter Pebble Beach. The gate fee will not be charged to Corvettes in the caravan. The route will follow the coastline through the storied forests, golf courses and mansions built by people like Crocker, Morse, Firestone and the like. This is where Woods won the US open, Eastwood built his home, the Pebble Beach Concours is held and multimillion dollar homes are bought as tear-downs to be replaced by marvels of excess. www.pebblebeach.com Once inside the gates, it is your time to enjoy the view, the people and your Corvette. There are many viewing and photo sites, stop when you wish and enjoy the beauty and the wildlife. If you want to peel off into the shops and Lodge at Pebble Beach, feel free to do so. We will wend our way out through the village of Carmel by the Sea and back to the track. Caravan FRS frequency will be 1 code 0. Please remember we are sharing 17 mile drive with other visitors and local residents during this tour
The C5/C6 Registry will host a dinner for members Friday Oct 15, 2004. Members please check the C5/C6 Registry EVENTS web page for dinner info.
On Thursday night, Oct 14, there will be a special night time practice from 6:15 PM until 7:15 PM. This practice is normally closed to the public, but Corvette participants are invited to view this nighttime practice session at no charge.
