Thank you for your response! We might try to make a Wednesday visit one of these days. It's impressive how long you have been doing this.

Default Almost lost my wife.

Saturday at noon I almost lost my wife of 45 yrs. She fell 10’ off of a retaining wall onto concrete. She had a big gash in her forehead and a broken wrist. Turned out she had a brain bleed, broken wrist, ankle, fractured her hip in 3 places. She was in the ER for about 28 hrs. I called everyone I could think of to pray. The place on her here was a big gaping hole. Her eye was swollen up like a baseball. I was scared I was going to lose her. She was in the trauma center at JPS. They were worried about her head. They took MRIs and X-rays of her entire body. But waited to do anything about injuries till they believed she was out of danger from the head injury. They then started in on the other injuries. They were thinking surgery on wrist and maybe ankle and hip. As it is now, they are going to do surgery on wrist 8-21-23. Swelling has gone down in her face now till she looks like herself again. She will be in the hospital for a few more day as they continue to assess her injuries. To all that have been praying, thank you and please continue! God is good and greatly to be praised! Again thank you all.

Wow, praise God she came through this. Continued prayers for her, and for you brother that you can walk with her through this. That would scare me silly. Prayers flowing brother, please let us know how she’s getting along…

She had surgery on her wrist on August 21 and now has cast off. She doesn’t have much movement in her wrist but they are scheduling physical therapy. The brain bleed stopped on its own. She’s out of cast and brace for her ankle now and working to walk and get strength back. Her hip was broken in three places and didn’t need surgery, it will heal on its own, but is still painful. She is doing great. It’s been a lot of work. But we will be fine. Once they told me she was not going to need brain surgery and was going to be ok a weight lifted off of me and I’ve been set on taking care of her.
Thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. This happened the Saturday after we were there last.
