Default South Coast Fun Run to Galveston Island. Sunday November 25th.

Houston Performance Driving will be hosting it's famous South Coast Fun Run to Galveston Island. The date will be Sunday November 25th, 2012. Come join some of some of the fastest from the "Power City" in a fun filled, high energy cruise along the Texas Gulf Coast to Historic Galveston Island. HPD is all about high performance cars, trucks, and bikes! We are looking to have a solid group of enthusiasts that can have fun, and still be safe. This will be one of the best cruises you will take all year long. If you have been on a HPD S.C.F.R. to Galveston in the past. You know it's ***** DEEP!

*Facebook Event Page* http://www.facebook.com/troy.dixon.5...9796267497756/

I. South Coast Cruise Outline:

- South Side Meet Location: Roll in @ 10:30AM w/ roll out @ Noon. There will be (1) meet location for this event. The location will be the Pearland Medical Plaza @ 10970 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. Take the McHard Rd exit, the complex will be on your right. Map Link: https://maps.google.com/?ll=29.57677...152,-95.388558

Park on the extreme south side of the parking lot away from the building. We have not used this lot before. However, it's always wide open with few cars. Still due to not using this lot in the past we will have a back-up parking lot just in case.

Back-up Meet Location: Macy's parking lot @ 11200 Broadway St. (FM 518) #950 Pearland, TX 77584 (Pearland Town Center). This is only incase we get kicked out of the Medical Plaza. We don't think there will be any issues. However, we want to have a back-up plan in place.Back-Up Lot Map: https://maps.google.com/?ll=29.55119...09645&t=h&z=17

- Car Wash: Houston Performance Driving sponsor Racer's Edge will be ready for those that want to get their ride cleaned before rolling out. They open at 11AM. The cut off time for the wash is 11:30AM. There location is is directly accross from the meet location @ 1970 Country Pl Pkwy Pearland, TX 77584.

- Safety Briefing: 15 minutes before roll out the HPD Staff will host a safety briefing on the South Coast Fun Run. It will be important for anyone going on the cruise to hear. This will be a 110% SAFE cruise. Please be SAFE, be SMART, and stay SHARP!!

- Roll Out: Will be @ Noon!

- Buc-eeee's Pit Stop: The cruise will stop at Buc-eeeeeeee's for fuel, refreshment, and restroom break. We will be stopping at the Buccess @ 598 East Hwy 332, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=598+Ea...77566&t=h&z=18 Please park in a organized manner when you enter Buc-eeeeeeee's. In the past we've had so many cars that we created a log jam in their lot. Lake Jackson PD and DPS has to help us get out.

- San Luis Pass Toll Bridge: HPD has a system that will get +300 cars through the toll bridge in 15 minutes. Tolls are $2 for each ride. The system will be explained at the south side meet location. This system has worked many times for us in the past with zero issues. Please have $2 cash, this toll bridge is not a E-Z Tag controled crossing. Your Harris County E-Z Tag will NOT work.

- The Spot: The final stop of the cruise will be at The Spot for meals and beverages @ 3204 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, Texas 77550. Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=The+Sp...n,+TX&t=h&z=19. The Spot has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax while looking out to the Seawall with all the cars lined up. There is a small vacant lot next to The Spot that you can use as well. Feel free to eat where you wish on the island. You do not have to eat at The Spot.

- The Return Home: There will be no return cruise home. Once you have finished your meal or activities. Please return home at your convenience. Please be safe on your return trip home to the Houston Area, or where ever home may be.

So according to the cruise gear we need a walkie talkie And an hpd t shirt. Will these be available the day of the event or do we need to get these ahead of time? Also does this run cost anything to register? Sorry guys for the questions but I'm new to this!

Austin,

- It's highly encourage to have a 2 way walkie. It simply keeps you posted on what is happening during the cruise. Also it helps me know what is going on in the rear behind me. Ricers, unsafe driving, pissed off Soccer Moms, or Old Men in Suburbans....then I can deal with it. Plus it never hurts to call out the law if they're camping it up.

- HPD T-Shirts...If you have them wear them. I will have some with me on the cruise if you want one. $10 each. They are NOT required. Look for a black C6 Z06 w/ #44 on the doors and rear.

- This is a FREE cruise, just make sure to have your $2 for the toll bridge (NO EZ TAG), and drink/lunch $ for The Spot.

- Make sure you know the meet locations and times.

Troy.

ATTENTION! WARNING!! DANGER!!!

After careful review of the weather, we are pushing the fun run to SUNDAY NOVEMBER 25th! We are fully aware that THANKSGIVING will be on the Thursday before the Sunday cruise. We know you maybe out of town, or have family in town. We are hoping family will be sent packing before the cruise time so you can have a little fun before getting back to work on Monday. Also there is no Texans game that weekend. Also because it is one week before the big MD Anderson Toy Drive at Houston Coffee and Cars. We may turn it into a fun run toy drive and collect toys has we go. We know we are going to have some folks drop off the roster, maybe not. Maybe we'll gain some folks. Either way please take yourself off the roster or add yourself. We hope the new date has better weather and works for you.

NOVEMBER 25th IS THE NEW DATE!!!

NOTE! Ferrari Fest is going on in Highland Village alternative to rush to do something car related before the really bad weather hits.
