Default Transmission tech needed in Austin Tx

I took my C5 to a dealer in Georgetown who supposedly has a great tech and I got the run around. My car is having trouble getting to 2nd.

Can anyone refer me to a great tech for a boosted C5 with an A4.

Ricky Scheulen. He works at AAMCO on Burnet, but does HP rebuilds on the side. The man knows his stuff. Good luck.

Type "AAMCO Austin TX" in Google and the one on Burnet would have popped up alongside the other couple AAMCOs here. Call the shop and ask for Ricky. Simple.

I don't mean to be a dick, but the days are long gone when we have to spoon feed every last detail.

Ray (AM.MSCL) is just a super nice guy.

Default Jobs on the side

The first reply said he does side work. People usually get fired doing side work....

That's why I asked for direct contact information.

I'm not trying to get people fired.

I'll give a call thanks for the information.

Looking forward to getting back on the road.

No worries. Ricky does the side work mostly at home. You give him the tranny, he takes it home and does the rebuild and brings it back to AAMCO where you can meet him and pick it back up. They wouldn't fire him anyway, he's the best guy and integral piece of the shop.

I have his cell, but because it's fine to call the shop and ask for him, I don't want to spread his personal cell around.
