Eric, we are meeting at the Pit Stop Cafe located at I-10 and Motel Blvd in LC at 10pm and departing by 1030am.
Taking Hwy 28 South to Rudy's BBQ at I-10 and Artctaft Rd. arriving about 1130am
Hopefully we can meet up with some El Paso Vette owners and plan an event together.
Regards,
Jeff

Default any suggestions on oil filter?

Okay, I get my last free oil change at Rudolph next week, then I have to start changing the oil on my own. Any suggestions on what kind of oil filter I should get? I shop at AutoZone.

http://www.autozone.com/external-eng...h&newYmme=true

I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-30 full synthetic Dexos 1 oil. I'll get that at AutoZone.

Arturo Segura, the manager at Resler Automotive says he'll change the oil for $20 if I provide oil and filter. (915)833-5661.

I have 2014 vette with Z51.

Car is almost 2 years old, has 2,100 miles on it, and I've yet to hit a bug.

Okay, I hit Autozone today and got the Mobil 1 extended performance oil filter for $13.

http://www.autozone.com/external-eng...er/904898_0_0/

I got 8 qts. of the above mentioned oil for $6.30 per quart. They were running a special on the oil, so I got an $18 discount on the oil. My vette holds 9.2 qts., but I'll probably only put in about 9 qts., when I change the oil. I already had 2 qts of this oil.

Okay, if you bring your own oil and filter, Rudolph will change it for $20. Viva will change it for $13. I don't know how much Mission will charge. Both Rudolph and Viva will also do the free 21 point vehicle inspection when they change your oil.

I will be getting my oil changed at Viva in the future.

Xfactors:

Since you have such low mileage you may want to consider a 'filtermag" to have placed on the C7 oil filter. The filtermag wraps around the oil filter with an ultra strong magnetic to catch any micro metal particles from the engine. Cost is about $53.00 from Jegs Automotive.

I have one on my C7. These are a great item to have.

Default Engine bay dressing complete....

I have recently completed my engine bay dressing of several components and had the Corvette C7 hood liner professionally airbrushed. The hood liner custom "mod" has grown in popularity to give the engine bay a bit of pizazz.

If anyone in El Paso or Las Cruces has an interest doing a custom airbrush design, please feel free to contact me and I will provide the local artist. The artist can do just about anything under any request. Your design, his professional work. Cost is extremely reasonable.

I painted the fuel rail covers, manifold covers, front inside fender guards, air intake and hood extractor to match the C7's body color.

I recently added the new Z06 Style reproduction wheels. It provides a whole new appearance to the C7. I am very well pleased with both quality and appearance. Ireplaced the Z51 wheels and these wheels are 19" front and 20" rear.
