I went and took the safety class on post today to use the Auto Crafts Center at 8am so I couldn't go.

Got videos, but it seems the GoPro is hitting its own housing and it's making an annoying clunking noise. It would take me a while with FCP to remove it, so might as well throw some music over it.

I got mixed feelings about today. We ran counter-clockwise and I didn't like it much. Remember that bump they talked about after the straight? Well, it is really evident going counter; I have to go out of my racing line to avoid it. Not only that, but the "curved" straight gets bumpy on the braking zone and the Corvette didn't like it a bit. I almost ran into a Civic because he decided to stop in an acceleration zone right after a turn.

I got 4th overall with a 1:20. Tim broke the record again in the Evo with a 1:13.xxx. The race-ready M3 ran a 1:19, and the turbo Miata (this time even faster) ran a 1:18. My brakes were a let-down and I ended up having an off-road excursion after a straight (really slow, so no damage). I think I need to freshen up my suspension and get better brakes to dip into the 1:teens.

I only bought half a day and I'm glad I did because it got hot by the time I left (80ºF+). The weather was great otherwise. I'm sleep deprived and with a headache, so I'll post some of the videos tomorrow. Peace!

The C6 shocks and sways are not expensive at all. They're easy to do as well. If you do the sways, I would replace the end links. They're about $27 each from GM Parts House.

What time does the show on Bliss start? I just got my top painted black and am getting the new tires put on in the am and will probably stop by the show after that. Is it on the main side or on one of the new sides?

Hell, the 4-gallons I paid for were $13.26 each. They are going back for a full refund pronto.

The Oil Change (with your own fluids and oil filter) will be a $9.95 labor and disposal charge. Not too bad when they can bang that out while flushing the radiator fluid.
You can get 2 gallons of Dex-Cool non-diluted antifreeze at AutoZone for $28. ($14 a gallon.) Mix in plain water at 50/50 mix.

You can get full synthetic oil change at Viva for $60 plus tax and disposal fee with printed internet coupon.

Damn, is that for full synthetic? That's like $4.33/qt. It's about $9.50/qt at Autozone.

Here's some info on Caffeine and Octane. Also a link to the El Paso/Las Cruces section of Camaro5.com that hxrly participates in. I met hxrly about a month ago, at this Caffeine and Octane.

On a side note, I've ordered a 2014 2LT C7 from Mike Furman @ Criswell up in Maryland, and hope to get it by next Jan. Will have it drop shipped to a dealer in El Paso. It's going to be night race blue, with Z51 and MRC. This will be my first vette. I drove a 2012 vette about 40 yards at Bravo, about 9 months ago, and loved it. (The salesgirl working with me, wanted me to take it out in the street, to test drive it, but I wouldn't do it. I was worried I might wreck it. I just drove it in a circle around the parking lot at the dealership. ) Wasn't in the financial position to buy a vette 9 months ago, but now I am.

Yes, sir. Best deal on motor oil in town.

It's been a very busy week for me. The headers have excellent fitment, but I have a leak at the gasket in the heads... was supposed to buy some LS1-style metal gaskets but the dealership closed before I could go, now I have to wait until Monday. I have been driving the hell of a new VW GTI my wife got, so no real complaints, lol.

Harly I got gm metal gaskets from the dealer when I was going to install my headers but went another route instead. They are brand new never been opened in the plastic still. I was going to return them but never got the chance. Give me what I paid for them or come pick them up for 20 bucks.

Word of advice, only use GM metal gaskets on headers, both sides on mine were leaking with the ones I received with the XSPower headers. Thanks to t100driver for hooking me up with gaskets. Took me about one hour two swap both sides and no more leaks!

Now I need to adjust the angle on the Ti catback and double check all my torque specs. The car sounds fantastic now, nice and quiet when cruising, and much louder when getting on it.

No problem Harly! Glad I can help. I finally got my car on all wheels and running, let me know when you want to get together for a cruise anytime.

Cool. I'm always down for cruises but in a few hours I'm taking off to Vegas with Mod Freaks of Texas. They're having M Fest down there but I'm tagging along so I can visit the Grand Canyon and Vegas for the first time. We should be heading back on Sunday... 1000 miles each way!
