Default Tyler, Texas folks?

Anyone from the Tyler, Texas area especially those with a C5? We are trying to get our C5 inspected but the Hoosier DOT drag radials won't pass inspection. I'm looking for someone with rear wheels that we can put on for an hour and get an inspection then return them. You can keep our Bogarts for collateral while we're gone. Seriously though, we'll make it worth your time if you can help out.

Thanks.

I would contact someone from the local Corvette Club there and see if they can help out. Good luck.

Tar Heel...Hi.....I hope you're not the only one around Tyler!! I'm planning a move down to that area this summer. I hope I can find some other Corvette folks in the area.

Did you ever get your car to pass inspection?

Yes, we purchased a set of OEM C5 wheels and tires that we keep around just to put on the rear to get inspections done. It's kind of a pain to change them, drive to the inspection station, and then change them back (plus they're uglier than ugly!) but it gets the job done.

When you arrive check out the Tyler Corvette club. They're a good group of folks. Every Saturday morning they meet for breakfast some place and have many other get-togethers and road trips throughout the year. Google Tyler Texas Corvette club and sign-up for the email list. You'll enjoy hanging out with them.

Lol....it's funny the things we'll do to keep our cars!!! I'll need to find a "special" place to get mine inspected when I arrive. I can't wait to get out of MN...I've wanted to move for many years...now's the time!! I hate looking at my car stored in the garage all winter.

Thanks for the info....I'll check it out. Maybe I'll see you around town!!

Well....I have an offer "pending" inspection on my house right now. This new adventure might be happening very soon! I can't wait to get down where I feel I belong! Minnesota is a beautiful state but I just hate the winters!! I hope to see y'all soon!

When you get down here shoot me a message, there are some old guys around here that meet for breakfast every Saturday, but they don't do much as far as activities
