My wife and I hit the twisted sisters this past Sunday along with some friends in an older M3. The weather wasn't as nice as it was forecasted to be, but still a blast. I've driven 337 several times, but that was the first time I've hit all 3.
I am currently up in Seattle but just bought a house down in Schertz and will be moving down there in June. I have a 2018 Z06/Z07, a 2017 Z06/Z07, a ZL1, and a Trackhawk. I was looking for information on what all needs to be done to register cars down there and from what I can tell, you need to get a "safety" check amongst other things.
Can anyone fill me in on things people like us need to look out for? For example, I have tinted windshields, semi-dark tint on the sides and back (25 I think is the darkest), and have removed secondary cats via X-pipes.. I also never run a front license plate..
Am I going to get hassled on anything? Does Texas have any emission checks?

Might depend on where you take it. You ask about emissions testing in Texas. It goes by county. Some of the DFW and Houston counties require it. Bexar County (San Antonio) does not. Safety inspection is $7 or $7.50. The vehicle registration is around $80 per vehicle.

Hello. I actually work in Schertz. The emission check goes by the county, and this area doesn't require one. No worries with the x-pipe. Your tint and front license plate could be a problem. I don't think you'll get hassled during inspections, but you can get a ticket if pulled over. Many people take the risk of not running a front license plate, but the front plate is required in TX. I have one on my car just because I don't want to give the cops any additional reason to pull me over. I also pretty sure that anything more that an eyebrow tint on the front windshield is illegal in TX. Good luck & welcome.

I recently switched to a Z06 spoiler, so I want to sell it. I'd like to avoid shipping it if possible. It was just freshly painted at Gunn Chevy. The new paint job has 0 miles on it.
