I hope to catch it in Grand Prairie. I missed it a few years ago when it passed through Dallas area.

I and two friends of mine plan to catch it at Grand Prairie and go as far north as we can. This will definitely be the longest trip I've taken in my C1. This may convince me to install A/C. Wonder how many are going without air?

I guarantee you will not be the only participant without A/C. However, you may be the only C1 Corvette without A/C!

I recall seeing very few Corvettes at the last HRPT that I attended. Chevrolet and GM vehicles will be the choice of most. I have seen a Trabant, late 50's Cadillac hearse with Cummins power, a '74 Nova hatchback that the driver slept in, and on and on.

It is the weirdest, biggest, rolling car show that you will ever see. Even if you don't participate you can find a spot on the route and grab a lawn chair and cooler full of beer. Plan to spend several hours just watching them roll by!

Really? So you wouldn't go on a great 500 mile trip because of a parking lot???

This is what I'm planning. Graduation Party prevents me from going to LA and business trip at the end of the week keeps me from going to KC. I went a couple of years ago in a TA and had a blast. Looking forward to at least a few fun days on this one. I will be hanging out with the guys from Year One so stop by and say hi.

Sounds like a plan! weather permitting I'll be taking the Grand Sport to the Baytown stop. That stop in Dallas with the gravel parking lot sounds 👎 I look forward to the Austin stop at Circuit of Americas 👍

over the years, there have been many venues that are grassy fields or gravel parking lots or simply city streets

I remember the mud and standing water in Kissimmee in 2005

don't let the venue discourage you from going

it is tough for the organizers to find a venue that will accommodate 3,000 or more cars plus all the 18 wheeler displays
