Default New Mexico?

Just PCSed to Cannon AFB from Florida. Anyone in the area familiar with tuning? Or could point me in the right direction? I believe 90 octane fuel will not set well with my car considering its compression and being tuned on 93.

I'm not sure what there is in Clovis, but if you go to Albuquerque there a few options. You are definitely going to need a tune badly as the elevation change changes things a lot. 91 octane there is supposedly the same thing as 93 at sea level but that might be one of those old wives tales.

In Albuquerque there is Motiva (I had a 800hp LS3 camaro that lived for 5 years on their tune), Southwest Speed (Installed a cam and boltons for me) and Solid Tech performance. I've never had anything done at Solid Tech, but I know the owner and would trust him if I still lived in NM.

Good Luck... I hope you have some force induction as without it the elevation is going to make the car feel so slow. I could not believe how much faster my old C5Z felt when I moved to Dallas.

Also just did some checking and research. Elevation here is 4280ft. Thatso a hell helluva difference from the sea level I was at coming out of pensacola fl. Hence the reason finding anything higher than 91 is impossible.

Sorry for the late response. I don't spend much time down in this section. I actually ended up, buying HP Tuners and learning/studying through the tuning school. Re did my tune all on my own and just very recently got my timing right for this crap gas out here. More than happy to tune rides. I'll have to save up for the gen V stuff, as it's expensive through the school, but I won't touch one until then.

Sean@Solid tech is badass. Known him for 20+ years, well before shop was ever around. Would trust him with any of my cars.

The other shops listed, I wouldn't touch.

He tuned my 2jz swap and I was extremely pleased with the tune versus the 800 dollars I spent in arizona for a so called "reputable" tuner.

Appreciate it. However I no longer need a shop now. I'm learning and make my own adjustments now.
