Attention: New Mexico C7 owners!
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c3-general/2640835-proper-corvette-wave-etiquette.html
I know some of plebes are still cruising/speeding around in our c4-c6's, but how hard is it to wave or even have a proper conversation?
Or is the c7 gen the a##hole owners club of corvettes?

Keep in mind that a) It isn't required, b) It's not always safe, and c) It's often too late. I don't think it is appropriate to call people names if they don't wave at you, and that's what you are doing.

Several other owners have noticed c7 dudes in New Mexico do not like to wave or talk or even associate themselves with other vette owners at car shows etc. I don't get it.
Yes I know its not required but its courteous to wave when waved at. Its like letting someone in front of you when stopped in traffic, you dont have to do it but its the courteous thing to do, then when that person doesnt wave you get all upset. If youve never called someone that youve allowed in front of you in traffic some name out of anger you're a saint. If you have then you cant really judge me for people being rude and my reaction is to call them what they act like.
I agree! We do have some decent twisties.
As do I. Which is why this irritates me so much.

I'm a C7 owner in NM (Las Cruces) and I wave at all corvette drivers. I do like the brotherhood or whatever else you may call it. Not everyone can own a vette for whatever reason, and I find it to be a cool connection that we share for 2 seconds as we pass one another. I owned a C6 for many years and found that most C7 owners refused to wave or acknowledge me on the road. I found it odd and a bit stuck-up, but I don't let other drivers dictate how I feel or change my desire to continue waving to other corvette drivers. Hell, I have had several C1 and C2 drivers wave very charismatically as we approach each other and some of those cars I would guess to cost as much or more as the C7. So I don't get it, if C7 owners are acting better than someone else. But I don't know if that's what their intention is or not. I don't care. I'm gonna do me, they can be themselves.

This saddens me to read this. I made it a point to either wave or flash my headlights at every Corvette I chanced upon in my 3 round trips across your beautiful state last summer. Btw, I do drive a C7 Z

In truth, flashing my headlights drew a better response. I am beginning to feel the tinted windows are the big issue.

I think we need to have a NM C1 thru C7 Corvette cruise. What do you guys think?
