HPR 442 Short block

One of our signature line of engines, the 442 was designed by our own Erik Koenig. Erik designed the pistons and rods for use in this engine along with Wiseco so everything can fit within the stock LS3 cylinder block making install into tight spaces like the Corvette easy with no special parts required to do so. The crankshaft also uses Erik's counterweight design, again to fit within the block with minimal machine work for clearancing leaving the block as strong as possible. To reduce friction and help make HP we us our own thin ring package with a steel top ring, Napier second, and 2mm oil ring pack.



Like our larger 468, we do suggest the 442 to be used in NA applications due to the shorter piston skirt design required with the long stroke.
