Default F/S HorsePower Research 442 cid short block *SPECIAL PRICE*

Guys,

We have one 442 short block here on a stand ready to ship out. Customer canceled the order so this one needs to go. MSRP $6495 as shown.

Special pricing THIS ONE ONLY $5795 + shipping

Features:
  • New GM LS3 aluminum block
  • K1 Forged 4.250" stroke crankshaft - std post
  • HPR spec H beam forged connecting rods by Wiseco
  • HPR exclusive forged pistons by Wiseco
  • HPR spec ring pack
  • ARP main studs
  • All machine work, balancing, and assembly performed by HPR in house
  • 24x reluctor wheel
This makes a great platform to work off of for many different builds. The increased displacement means big torque, and big hp with the correct cam and induction system. We use our own custom designed piston by Wiseco with a low friction ring package for decreased drag and friction which means more HP. Forged crankshaft and forged rods will withstand heavy use. Using a stock GM block means, a stock bore so rebuilds can be done later in life without pushing the sleeves to their max bore size from the start. We clearance for stroke and rods here in house and all dimensions are checked during assembly for proper clearance.

We can also spec a cam, or finish to a long block if the customer so desires for additional cost.

Call, email, or PM with any questions you might have.

I have had some questions about this in regards to power adders.

Our 442 and 468 combo's with a std deck height are not ideal for big boost and big spray due to the shorter piston design and relatively high ring placement. They can accept small amounts of nitrous in some cases given the proper ring gap.

For those wanting big power adder builds, we can most certainly accommodate those as well.
