Default Oklahoma Meet Up

Just got another Vette, since it's been almost 10 years since my last one I'm kinda out of the loop on the local car scene. If anybody could chime in on what their is to do in the OKC area car wise or future meets in the near future that would be great.

There are many corvette clubs in Oklahoma.
I'm sure you'll find plenty to do...

If any of you guys and girls like to go fast and test the handling limits of your vette, the SCCA has 2 regions in Oklahoma, one in OKC and one in Tulsa (NEOKLA). We each have about 10 autocross events per year at Remington Park, Stroud old Tanger mall, and the Tulsa Fairgrounds. We have vettes from C7Z's on down. There are classes for stock to highly modified beasts! More importantly, the people are great and it's addictive FUN!!! These cars handle amazing at fast speeds through slaloms, around tight curves and weaving in and out of the pylons!!! Even a stock C5 base is set up good enough to be very competitive at these events. Our new season will start in March with a test and tune. We normally run about a 50 second course. Join the fun!!

I plan to do a couple. I have autocrossed a few times with BMW CCA and PCA at the old Sheriffs dept track when they allowed clubs to use it. I used to run my BMW 528i and later my 335i out there.

I have a friend that just started doing SCCA and I'll probably do one or two.

SCCA membership is on their website www.scca.com and you pick your region, which is Oklahoma region for OKC area, and NEOKLA for Tulsa area, but you can run in both. Our region typically has a test & tune the Saturday of the Spring time change followed by the first autoX on Sunday. It will be at Remington park on the Martin Luther King Blvd. side. They have a Facebook page, I think it's Oklahoma SCCA, but I'm not a FB person. They also have a website www.okscca.com. All of the dates will be on both of those.

They also have online entry through Motorsportreg.com so you don't have to stand in line at the race (but you can), although you do have to check in and get your car tech'd. Our region is tough...lots of muscle!! Hope to see you there, it's FUN!! p.s...my husband and I drive our yellow C6Z so come over and say hi...everyone is very friendly and helpful.
