Texas owners.....plate? Sticker? EZPASS?
Ok my last Vette was registered in FLA. I decided to register my new one here in good ol' TEJAS....
Looks like on the C7 the Front plate will not look so bad...no biggie. Anyone not mount the plate and have issues?
Inspection sticker....any mods or cool ideas to make this look ok?
EZPASS??? Anyone just mount it inside the center arm rest area?
Pics would be great!

I’m in Houston, haven’t mounted the front number plate and no issues yet.
The ezytag ive mounted on the rear window hatch, top left hand corner, works fine and totally unnoticeable from the outside and inside because of the darker tint in that area.

Drifting
12 years driving C5Z and C7Z without problems w/ no front plate in the greater San Antonio area. There is no longer an inspection sticker, registration is placed bottom left.
The tolls I use have plate recognition so no need for an easy pass.
Roads out here aren’t the best so run Tour mostly.

Local LEO's in larger cities are pretty cool about front plates; now small town back road wide spots and State Troopers on the interstate, all together a different story.
Toll Tag on the back window....I like it, great suggestion! I was taping it to the backside of the licence window sticker; out of the way and can't be seen but still works.

No toll tag required
This is true for the TollTag in Texas. If you have a plate associated with a TollTag account the system will read your plate and debit your account the same as if it had read the TollTag. Most of us simply open the account, get the TollTag in the mail and put it in the drawer. In other words you get the same lower fee charge with or without the TollTag in the window. Works the same with motorcycle plates as well.

San Antonio Ticket.......
Coworker of mine in San Antonio who drives a C7 as a daily driver got stopped & ticketed for no front plate a few weeks ago. Was stopped for that reason and no other infraction of the law. Local police officer.
I don't need a reason to get pulled over so I run a plate on the front aero panel...doesn't look great, but doesn't look bad either.

Use the removable Aero Panel to mount the front plate. Unless the plate is some obnoxious color it doesn't look bad sitting on the Aero Panel in the grille. It is a little low to meet regulations stating the proper height of the front plate but it is far less likely that somebody notices it is 6 inches to low since people mount them all over the front of vehicles.

Try taping it on without the black sharpie and see what it looks like, because in the top corner the glass in already dark tinted, but it depends on how dark your window tint on top of that is also.

Can we see some pics? Especially the gawd ugly STATE inspection sticker! I am surprised Texas still has this! FLORIDA has neither! NO sticker and NO stupid front plate!
Maybe we as taxpayers need to change this?

I've been stopped for no front license plate, both my daughter and grand daughter have also been stopped for no front license plate. My daughter had to pay a $200 fine.
I have had mine on ever since.

I put the license plate on my C7 and used the curved frame that fits center grill. It does not look too bad. I have heard the troopers are tough on front plates here in the DFW metroplex area and i don't need the hassle. I don't use toll roads enough to worry about toll tag, I just occasionally get a bill in the mail for 4-5 bucks.
I lived in California for 3 years and never had a front plate on my C6. I was never stopped. It made me uncomfortable though and I decided to just put the darned thing on when I moved back to Texas and bought my C7.
