Default Mag ride upgrade in DFW

THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED IN SW REGION , WITH ZERO RESPONSES. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE.

Has anyone found a competent dealer in the DFW that knows what they’re doing and can wait on the car?

I was the guinea pig at Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco, so they now know how to do it and how much to collect from the customer. They initially misunderstood the amount to collect, but finally got it sorted out. But, they insisted on an overnight stay due to the 8-10 hour time to become fully effective. They did provide a loaner, so that was fine with me.

Jerry's in Weatherford did mine with no drama. It was either $250 or $300.

This mag ride update thing seems like such a covert operation. I want to get mine done and will be calling the dealer here ( bought the car elsewhere) to see what they know. I'm in a one horse town in Montana so if they look clueless thats the end of the road for me. Can anyone explain why this is so "hit or miss" and the confusion over whether or not the update "took" and is logged as such. Just seems bizarre to me and if this is really a fix for the original set up that is now considered not optimum than why is there a charge at all? I've seen a post or two where there was no charge. Odd

BUD,

According to one of our C7 forum moderators, he trusts Young Chevrolet on East RL Thornton Freeway (I-30) in East Dallas, for Corvette service.

I would feel comfortable with Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas too. I would hang 'em high with Ed Wallace to beat Classic into submission, if they scr#wed-up!

I'm a jillion miles East from Classic Chev. but that's who I'd trust with doing my C7's MagRide update!

Huffines Chevrolet in Lewisville did it perfectly for me. When I asked for it they had already done a few and knew exactly what it was. Ask for Brian O'Connor, he's my service advisor and always handles things well by phone or email.

Go here and they will not make you leave your car overnight for the 10 hour requirement. Car does need to sit for 10 hours at some point soon after the update has been completed.
